Re: Squad Ages

With the general job term expectancy of a manager competing with that of the life expectancy of an urban fox (14 months) I doubt Stam is doing anything other than going all out for promotion withing the resources he has. Tevreden and the board will hopefully managing those resources and ensuring any...

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

Bacuna, Quinn, Ilori, Evans, Joey, Andresson... one of them could have done a job for a game or two in all probability.

Depends if we wanted to stick with a wing back or revert to full back.

Re: Heightened Security Measures

If a terrorist was going to strike a football match, they'd choose one with 60,000 people rather than 6,000. It would be in a big city. That really is a terrible attitude to take with terrorism. There are no rules or boundaries. Having a domestic terrorism policy based on "they'd probably...&q...

Re: Villa Predictions

Not sure about this. I'm half thinking we'll lose and the doom-mongers will enter the rapture, but our home record is good, we'll be busting to win after Saturday's mistake and we played some really nice stuff.

2-1 to Reading

Re: CONFIMRED - Leandro Bacuna

Swift may have looked jaded towards the end of last season, I didn't notice that on Saturday though. He put a real shift in, popping up all over the pitch.

Re: CONFIMRED - Leandro Bacuna

Then Bruce should've just told him the start time was 9:00, then he'd turn up on time Its very common in work that you're expected to be ready to go at your start time, not only just arriving. Clearly that should have been spelled out to Bacuna. But it certainly doesn't speak of an engaged and enth...

Re: Matchwatch: Fulham (H)

And the attacking football that was promised? We had 20 odd shots and most of the game was played in their half. All we did was attack. Coppell, Pardew, Burns and Rodgers got plenty of support. £2m on Matt oxf*rd MiLOLLOLs ffs. Plus £800k on McAnuff and £500k on Rasiak. Didn't he sign Brian Howard ...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Don't get me wrong Fulham defended well with 10 men for their game and with 11 it would have been an even tougher game. But as a team who's game is built upon passing football up against 10 men we should have sealed the game by half time but being Reading FC it was never going to pan out that way. ...

 I always wonder if it was three and think, nah, couldn't have been. That would be ridiculous. Just watched the highlights. I'm going to get stick for this, and I admit that bias is certainly involved. But here goes. oxf*rd Gunter. Useless oxf*rd Gunter. On his heels for the terrible Berg pass ...

Oh yeah, Obita's fine. Not keen on Blackett at left back and Richards is rather untested.

Re: BFTG - Fulham

I also remember when we failed to score against 9 man Yeovil. Not every game is the same. You don't have an automatic right to win just because of a sending off. And I'll say it again. The only way Fulham were going to score was with a catastrophic mistake. And the one that occurred had nothing to d...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Feel free to provide something constructive to show why you disagree..... il put £100 on Swift having covered more distance than any other midfielder yesterday, and more tackles both successful and unsuccessful. Good debate, I personally think Swift is more a creative midfielder than a "grafte...

Re: Matchwatch: Fulham (H)

As the sending off was practically at the start of the game there should have been plenty of time to change to a plan B . Oh no, sorry I forgot, we don't have one. As for Stams dealing in the transfer market? Over a dozen players brought in and with the exception of Moore who probably won't be arou...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

I'm not understanding the Swift-bashing either. Thought he was half decent yesterday tbf The thing that really got me was sticking to the slow possession planA when they had everyone behind the ball. Even if we'd tried pumping a couple of high balls into the box just to mix it up and try and make o...

Isn't he a bit passed his sell by date? Feels like he's been around forever.

Re: Rumour - Leandro Bacuna

Yay. Another.Sodding.Midfielder Can you explain this? We play three midfielders. We currently have five, maybe six senior midfielders, one of whom has spent an entire season injured last year. We lost one of our senior first team regular midfielders in the summer. Surely a midfielder should be on t...
