Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

I've not seen lots of House, but I get the impression he would be more suited to leading the line than Loader.

No idea why you'd pick him over our top scorer though.

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

It's a fair point that good runs end, and outside the real standout sides, it's not necessarily bad to play someone on a good run like Preston. As said above, that run will end, probably sooner rather than later and the Championship is full of upsets. I almost feel happier playing a Play Off chaser ...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Surely it's time for a change of medical staff at the end of the season. These small injury problems keep on becoming something bigger. This has been going on for a few years now. Gomes brought his own fitness coach didnt he? There seems to be three parts to our problems. Picking up a lot of injuri...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Big blow, but tbh an expected one, no?

Big big responsiibilty now on the shoulders of Meite, Loader, Barrow and Swift plus McCleary and Harriott.

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

The next few games are very interesting*. They should tell us whether we can expect more of Gomes' good recent mini run, or whether that was just a blip from an easy run of games and we can expect more like the results when he first arrived. Obviously, this is a period where he's even more hamstrung...

Re: BFTG Stoke

There are times for everyone back. Seeing out the last 5-10 minutes, injuries or red cards... etc

It's not a sound strategy as a default and Ive almost never seen it used as such in over 20 years.

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

So relying on a 18 year old and Meite, Christ how did it come to this? Because somebody decided we should get smaller in the Champ and signed Baldock and McNulty last Summer, and at the same time decided to keep Bod who has always been injury prone. Oh, and also decided to give big money to Liam Mo...

Re: BFTG Stoke

Defending corners - Gomes said at the fans' forum that he thinks you need everyone back in order to have every zone marked, and sending one player forward usually doesn't make them leave extra players back. Swift is a tall guy and Barrow is better at defending than the air is. Yeah but it's counter...

Re: BFTG Stoke

I thought we were, unsurprisingly, distinctly average. And so were Stoke after their stronger start. Neither team really looked like ever scoring after the first 15 minutes. Martinez - 7 didn't do a lot, but made one good save and didn't put anyone under too much pressure. Kicking wasn't great, but ...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

windermereROYAL And letting a proven striker spend 2 seasons on loan in the Netherlands. not sure he will be thrilled to come back here, seems to be enjoying it over there.

He wasnt proven until he went.

We cant just buy 15 strikers to make sure weve always got plenty to choose from if we get loads of injuries.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Stoke a little lucky to still have 11, strong hint of an elbow there. Swift totally deserving the yellow
