Re: The Stam passing game

I'd add that Stam is also benefiting from the work of Adkins, Clarke and McDermott. All tried to play more of a possession game since we came down. They did it ineffectually and without the right players. But they started the process of matching the academy style and bringing the youth through. They...

Re: The Stam passing game

I'm not a huge fan of the Barcelona bore the opposition to death approach. I have thought for a long time we needed to be a lot better at controlling games, keeping possession and killing the opposition momentum. I'd like to see us change gears a bit quicker and go a bit more incisive. I think the b...

Which app?

Bbc radion which requires bbcmediaI believe.

I've notused my phone, but if it's available on the net, which it has been, then there's no reason the Iplayer or radio equiv shouldn't work.

Yeah if winning 42% of all your away league games is rubbish then I suppose you're right.

Technically I didn't say how often we'd been rubbish. :?

Re: Preston (A) Predictions

We always do badly there, we don't look like keeping a clean sheet, we've been rubbish away under Stam, but we're starting to play great stuff.

2-2

Re: BFTG - Villa

Playing against someone shit who don't have 9 men defending their box all game probably has a deal to do with it.

It's hard to pass, move and exploit space in a tightly compressed space.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the first long trek of the season

Our performance at Deepdale could be very indicative of the season to come. Against QPR we were pretty dire but showed a big step up against Fulham and should have grabbed the win. But Tuesday's demolition of Villa was another step up and very promising If we can get a really good result at Preston...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I quite liked the "Readings shit, we're going home" followed by the "why are you still here then" Disclaimer: these might not be the actual words sung. The gist is there. "I wanna go home, I wanna go home, Reading's / this is a shit hole, I wanna go home." Reply "...

Re: Villa Predictions

Not sure about this. I'm half thinking we'll lose and the doom-mongers will enter the rapture, but our home record is good, we'll be busting to win after Saturday's mistake and we played some really nice stuff. 2-1 to Reading Barrow, Swift 8) Well done everyone else who got the result and scoreline.

First goal from a corner so I'm still happy. Villa don't seem to have a midfield.

Not sure he can influence their midfield from Milton Keynes.

Lol, decent cross from Popa, unlucky deflection for Villa, but decent chance it would have been turned in anyway.

Wearing them down. It's hard to be under near constant pressure and full concentration for 90 minutes.

We will be playing the might of Rochdale and rotherham in league 1 next season at this rate  Some people never learn. Patience, patience, patience, GREAT CHANCE, patience, patience ....
