Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

More importantly, Wigan fans are not particularly looking forward to Saturday. They won't have many fans here. If the 500-600+ in 1871 can generate some noise, and the East Stand follows...then this can only be good news in what is a huge game for the club. Forget the agenda of what some individual...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I honestly don't know how I can sleep at night worrying about all these other Reading fans who think they are above their station. You run the station pal.... Apart from the fact I have never actually moved my seat and have no strong feelings towards C1871, positive or negative? But you dont agree ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Which they had to give away free beer for thus costing the club even more money. Draw people in with free beer or lose out on potential £25 - so really, they are selling the tickets at £15 - like they are for Preston. But no one is complaining at that. With the 20 plenty scheme every adult pays mor...

How long until they are being sold on ebay for £20 - I want one and was not willing to deal with queuing in any format today.

Re: January Outs

Always looked a good player to me. Not really suited to our way of play, but mayhave done better in our 10 role than some of the options weve used if given a proper run in the team. Pretty good option off the bench to go mor attacking, switching to two upfront, butit seems that sort of tactical cha...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

Yep, a very aged player, who has lost at least 5 yards of pace in the last 2 seasons and has never looked that good on the ball, showed absolutely no quality since his arrival. Shorts and language barrier is the only thing that is holding him back. Could have been a decent shout just to stick Meite ...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

Before I got injured I played Left back and right back, and left mid and right mid because I am ambidextrous. It really isn't hard to play in more then 1 position. A professional football, bar a goalkeeper, should be able to play in more then one position, or have a basic knowledge of doing so. Tak...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

[ It really annoys me when people use the "I am older then you and been playing football for longer then you so know more" schtick as a means to try and be superior. I reckon I am 30/35 years younger then you but could tell you more about data analysis in sports, sports science and tactic...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

Impression I have (on no substantiated grounds whatsoever) is Eza's out for the rest of the season. Rino. The club won't say whether it's long term which kind of makes me hopeful he'll be back at least by Leeds if not sooner. In the meantime I, personally, would put Blackett in as a DM and use Rich...

Re: Ex Players

In a league with standards well below our own. Means nothing. This^ Yep +2 I'd have a guess that Dundee would struggle to survive in League 2 let alone the Championship. Such a weird league. It is his level, a mix of Prem, Champ and Div 1 standard teams. As all strikers need a run of games I can se...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by all or nothing

Martinez Yiadom Miazga Moore Blackett Baker Academy Kid Swift Harriott Oliveira Ejaria Think this is the best option of a team we can put out. Maybe drop Ejaria into mid and bring in Barrow - he brings width and a threat that Ejaria doesn't have, however comes at a price of a inconsistent work rate...

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

bagman Bryn did at both Stoke and Watford in Premier, as well as 74 Icelandic caps.

Did he play for Stoke or Watford in the Prem? Not sure he did, even if he did, they at the time were the same level as us.
74 International caps for a not very good team doesn't reflect his ability IMO.

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

I always rated Danny Williams and thought he was far better than anyone gave him credit for. Probably the closest you'd get to a Pogba in the second tier I think we miss DW much more than anyone expected. Yep, completely agree and have said many times. Missed his drive and energy. Plus he puts a bo...

Re: Rinhomota

Issue I have is that we are going into a game with what could be perceived as a clear weakness. Its like going into a fight with a cut eye. Its something to target and aim for. Winning the 2nd ball is a big must now as they are gunna lump it forward and ask questions of the desire and strength in th...
