Re: Back from the game - Norwich

If Villa had won at Bolton we wouldn't be in a relegation fight. Barnsley have to lose their next game. I think the point people are making is that if you're just one result away from being right in the mire then you're already in a relegation fight, especially if your own team can't buy a win! I t...

Re: Next Season's Squad

It would be safe to say we would do well to keep hold of - Kelly, Barrow, Swift, and Moore even if we stay up. There is a long list of players that most people wont be too bothered or expected if they moved on. Aluko, Obita, Gunter, Kermie, Mannone Joey could all go with out being desperate to repla...

Re: Back from the game - Norwich

Didn't go but looking at highlights, think its harsh to have a go at Ilori for 2nd goal. Hanley used all his experience and height advantages. An aerial battle is not one of his strengths and probably should have been addressed before the corner - this is what a real leader and captain does. We do n...

Re: Would you...

He's completely opposed to the philosophy of the club and he's spent over a decade encouraging his players to injure ours and getting himself sent off. I'd stop considering myself a Reading supporter if he became manager. I'd rather we were relegated twice under Stam than doing a Leicester under Wa...

Re: Would you...

He comes across as a tool when on the touchline. In interviews after game he is just as irrational and a tosser- but as i've said before the emotions are running high and mangers are all riled up after a game so cant really judge. Nobody wants a robot in charge but I struggle to see how Warnock can...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) sponsored by Sammy Chung

Is that the one where Jakkola makes a decent double save one on one? It seemed that the Wolves player couldn't believe his luck, and the defence were resigned to it being scored. Having seen it live, I'm not sure I can take watching it all through again on the "highlights" yep thats the o...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) sponsored by Sammy Chung

TBH i have no issues with Aluko shooting there, 3-0 down coming to the end of the game at least try and make the keeper do something. I'd rather players shoot if they feel comfortable / confident in doing so, than consistently passing just because a man is open.

Re: Relegation Watch

Just seen Birmingham's next 4 games- Home to Hull, Ipswich, Burton and away to Bolton  if they go on a run and pick up points from these games we will be relying on Barnsley, I know they are on dreadful form but with those fixtures a slight turn in form could lead to a few wins Our form is t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) sponsored by Sammy Chung

Top of the league dicks a side that is hoping to avoid relegation shocker. You could see that they clearly targeted Blackett down the left. He just wasn't up for the challenge, didn't even look interested. We are lacking a leader out on the pitch. We need some one to take charge of organising the te...

Re: Any update?

oxf*rd off Hi muirinho! Thanks for the welcome. How are you? What do you think about Stam? I actually think Stam is fine. He's obviously very Dutch, therefore doesn't do diplomacy and doesn't care how he comes across, which matters to some, but not to me. Don't think he's said anything about the fa...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Anyone know if he's playing with a strike partner, lone wolfing or as a winger / wide forward? He's not struck me as the lone striker type, but couldwork as a partnership or wide forward a la Blackman under Clarke. Don't see him as fitting our current system in place of Bod or Aluko. Looks like he ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

doubt it tbh. Think both are well away from 100%. Harriott prob only has eyes on next season, but Watson first played again a couple of months back. Reckon Mendes may be under consideration after the Norwich game though Had a quick look at Novakovich's stats this season. 18 goals already, and Telst...

Re: BFTG - Leeds

I have maintained all season that one of the (many) faults in our team is that players don't work hard enough to make themselves available and are just happy to pass and not move. Agreed, and its an excellent point, Victor. Roy Keane, in his 2nd book (I think) outlines this. In the book, and I'm pa...

Re: BFTG - Leeds

For their second, Kelly played the sort of ball that should be exactly right, except Clement hadn't moved, didn't move and then didn't chase. Think Kelly was more culpable than Clement. Sure Clement was static but Kelly could see that yet still played the ball behind him and with Saiz and another r...

I like him, as a player he isn't a gifted natural. But out on the pitch his commitment and desire to put a shift in and perform is impressive. The form that the team is in, his attitude on the field must be kicking some players up the arse.

I am sure everyone has a Fulham supporting friend who you cannot talk footy with. They are up there with the worst supporters. Very annoying as they play decent football.

But what would he have done in Wolverhampton? Sat in an empty stadium dreaming of managing a big club?

Oh yeah.......my bad.
