Re: Gourlay

Just what is going on at Reading Football Club? Absolutely unbelievable that Stam's tenure is being allowed to drift on and on. Are the owners so remote from the situation that they just do not realise what is going on? If yet another home defeat didn't start enough alarm bells a 6000 attendance de...

Re: What is our best team now?

Some incredible cluelessness here: Tommy Elphick and Chris Martin are the first names on the team sheet when fit - how is that not clearly apparent to all of you on here? Martin's done nothing here and is on loan. Elphick has barely played and is on loan. . Coming from someone who just put Watson i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) sponsored by Sammy Chung

In all honesty, I am am relatively optimistic about this game. Zero pressure, away from home and playing top of the league, which last few years we have always upped our game against these sides even when we've been having a terrible season ourselves. All it will take is seeing Berg on the team shee...

Very interesting point, could open the door to boycott Reading games and attend the ladies side instead, still supporting your local team but in a somewhat sideways protest to the mens side.

Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

the initial comments on the thread don't disagree JS. We were awful in the first half, but actually started the second half reasonably, and had it gone 2-2 then obvs it would have been right back in our favour. The third goal killed it. Not sure whether I see Saturday as a total write off (Wolves a...

Re: What is our best team now?

4-2-1-3 Mannone Gunter Moore Ilori Richards Edwards Kelly Swift Aluko/McCleary** Martin Barrow **McCleary is only in due to his ability to put a decent cross in, he has been pretty dire, but Aluko is in the same boat - both great players there somewhere. Evans also just misses out, very tidy player ...

Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

3) The third goal, despite the comments of 'they did nothing wrong' was very sneaky. Looks like every player on the pitch bar Sharp and the person who crossed it were expecting it to be kicked back - players from both sides just wandering around getting into position. No real problem with them 'not...

Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

As games go, last night was pretty poor. Missed passes, hesitation, slow and unimaginative. Seems a running trend which tbf at least its consistent. Plus note, was nice to see more academy players involved again. Seems we always have 3-4 players who are having a mare. Felt sorry for Martin and Bod, ...

Re: Who could replace Stam?

Managers in UK are a generation behind the likes in spain/germany/italy. I believe the Championship is becoming a lot more technical which would suit a manager from europe - TBH I know very little about managers on the continent just the styles of leagues. If we were to replace Stam I would be very ...

Re: BFTG - Derby

I was getting a bit annoyed by the shooting from 25-30 yards if I am honest. Even when Kelly's went in? He had another late on that was pretty close. He can hit them from there, if it opens up in front of him, why not have a go? I just saw shooting from 25-30 yards as an improvement over passing th...

Re: BFTG - Derby

Think its a bit early for POTS thoughts....
On a side note, do you think Clement will get given more game time after his performance? I am a firm believer that our def issues lays within our midfield. Just seeing if people see enough in him become an option for a different mid set up.

Re: BFTG Forest (A)

Well that's not true is it. We didn't drop points to our rivals. A point from the draw still gave us an increase in the gap between us and the teams below us. In addition to an already superior goal difference to 5/6 teams below us. I am only stating facts - they are there if you open your eyes. Wh...

Re: Record Watch 2017/18

And still we have the plebs on sky saying this Wolves team is the best the championship has ever seen, unreal. With 24 hours of sports "reporting" they've got to fill it with something. Anything. Talk for talks sake. They should at least compare the 2 sides, our 106 side blew to league aw...

Re: BFTG Forest (A)

Either it's the same argument or it's different? Make up your mind. Last night we - A -gained one point OR B - dropped 2 points. It is the exact same result but explained differently. It is the magic of football, it splits opinions and even though I agree that we shouldn't worry about relegation bu...

There is clear difference between the same argument. 1 saying there is absolutely nothing to worry about and we should not have been worrying ever. The other pointing out that the results are crap but we are slowly getting over the line, but we pull some results out of somewhere. Either it's the sa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by things can only get better

I am not sure tactics played any part in last nights game. They were fired up after half time, we were not. How we set up in general is easy to figure out. The midfield do not move, mark them out of the game, we either hoof it down the line to an isolated player with zero options (thats even if the ...

Re: Relegation Watch

The team must be well up for tonight as we haven't played for 10 days, considering the troubles of Forest are in, they must be thinking a performance later, we would be in a shout of picking up some valuable points. A loss would be a big punch to the balls, heads will be further down and confidence ...

Re: Relegation Watch

Heart, passion and effort = fans giving a toss and making noise and being positive. The football experience is not always the result, its watching your team giving a shit about the performance they put in. Once I see the players doing this it makes it so much easier to be positive and be loud, which...
