Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by the need not ot lose

To single out Aluko for the equaliser is a bit harsh. Blackett was doing squat on edge of 6 yard box, Barrow and Loader standing still doing jack. Rino come out to cover way too late. Bolton had 2 other players unmarked in the 6 yard box. Who is shouting at these players out there, we have zero voi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by the need not ot lose

Six Points have dropped v Brentford, Rotherham and Bolton with 90 minute plus goals conceded away from home. We also let a two goal slip at Blackburn. Those eight points lost would make a big difference to our season. Yep, been saying it for some time. Need to win at least half dozen games 1-0 away...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by not long to desperation

Are we back at a point of picking Aluko to play down the wing / out wide? Its either Swift OR Aluko down the middle for me and I think Harriott just edges it for me ahead of Barrow Martinez Yiadom Miazga Moore Blackett Rino Bacuna Harriott Aluko Ejaria Oliveira Walker, Swift, Baker, Barrow, Bodvarss...

Re: Rumour - Mo Barrow

Ability to put decent ball in the box is a far greater weapon than pace out on the wing. Getting to the by line and not being able to put a ball in is quite useless tbh.
All Barrow does is give us an out ball option on the counter. I wont be sad if he goes and I dont think we will miss him one bit.

Re: Rumour - Mo Barrow

If we got an offer of £2m and invested all of it in a hungrier, younger winger then I am all over it. It is all about the replacement for me, if we can't get someone in who is better than Barrow then what is the point? I'd even be happy with investing in a proper LB instead and use players already ...

Latest club to be linked is Hibs https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/sport/football/hibs-trying-sign-reading-striker-15746524 Did we really pay £1.5 million for him? With alll our deals being "undisclosed" it's only when other clubs make prices known that we get a better idea. There is a goal...

Re: Tiago llori

This does worry me a bit for next season once all the loans go back, oshea and mcshane run out of contract and we only have Moore as a senior centre back. I get the feeling this is a bit short sighted unless any of the U23s look like they are going to suddenly push up I dont know enough about them....

Re: CONFIMRED - New Keeper Emiliano Martinez

The GK problem was evident against Derby. Derby shut off the short ball and pushed right up. Goal kick was taken 'long' and we weren't set up for it and Derby mopped up everything. Their forward was left onside by the CBs being split and wide on the 18 yard line. I would like to think that the long ...

Re: Tiago llori

Rumblings that this is now a done deal and Ilori will go to Sporting Lisbon but not until Reading have a replacement. Therefore presume Reading will be looking for a pacey ball playing centre half from somewhere. Ah so thats why he played like he couldn't give one single oxf*rd on Saturday. He was ...

Re: BFTG Derby (A)

I don't mind the starting 11 being a shambles, he took a gamble it did not pay off and it was obvious from the 1st 15 mins. I am not sure i have seen such a bad replacement in the team Rino for Baker? He should have been bold and made the sub much earlier! Remember Pardew making a sub on 20 mins whe...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Jordan Obita won't be back this season. As I mentioned elsewhere I have heard a little bit about his recovery as he uses the chryo chamber at Bracknell Town and their pitch for 1 to 1 sessions. From what I was told a few months ago he'd struggle to come back at all and now that seems to be confirme...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by Yakubu

I quite like the idea of playing against Richard Keogh with 120 minutes in his legs. Depends who is playing up top against him. Bodvarsson doesn't have the mobility to run him ragged. Wouldn't mind Loader starting up top for this one just to wear the Derby CB's down a bit. Loader is nowhere near re...

Re: Is Kelly off?

Would be a shame to lose a academy player however sentiment cant carry you forever. If he were to be off, I personally dont think we should replace him unless it is for a genuine 1st team player. Sick of these can do a job midfielders coming in or foreign journeymen and never playing cos they're are...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

He was involved in other good moves as well as the assist, but unfortunately invariably made the wrong decision or executed it poorly. Straight off the top of my head there was: First half - his shot from outside the box in a central position which the goalie made a meal of by palming round the pos...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

I was somewhat bemused to see the BBC report describing it as a "turgid" match. We've had two years of turgidity, pal, this was a huge improvement! Nice to hear Jackie Wilson being played after the game, rather than Steve Wonder! Same was said on the Quest EFL show, they clearly lift a lo...

Re: Tiago llori

Am I the only one who thinks illori is a decent CB and worth more than £3 million...? I think he is potentially worth more than 3m. too many mistakes recently have certainly hit his value. He has tons of ability if he could concentrate better and make better decisions at times. I'd personally like ...

Re: Rival Watch

Leeds have been busted spying on Derby's training. Sure they'll get away with a tap on the wrist, but that's just blatant cheating isn't it?! I often feel Leeds have it tough as nearly everyone has it in for them, but the more I read into this the worse it looks for them. I agree that if found guil...

Re: RUMOUR - Lewis baker

So it points towards getting in players with clever movement and the ability to carve up opponents. Rather than using classic wing play of stretching the play, beating your man and putting a ball into the box. Barrow can beat players using pace but thats about it. These days they are incredibly few...
