Re: Back from the game - Palace

I agree def no pen. I was sat in the main stand and Fed certainly got the ball first. Even the Palce fans around me agreed it was not a pen and also thought themselves very fortunate that the ref disallowed the goal. Overall however a draw was a fair result. Ref was in perfect position too, followe...

Re: Soccer AM

Reckon I'd notch a few on the Road to Wembley thing or whatever it's called now, thus raising the credibility of our mongdive supporters, but I'll give it a miss thanks.

Out of interest, how many did the last lot from Reading get during that game?

Re: Royals on the Box Thread

We don't inspire high ratings. We don't have a long and distinguished history, or a large, dispersed supporter-base that can't make matches - nor are we reknowned for our sexy, free-flowing football. Agreed. I feel pretty uninspired whilst watching our turgid brand of football, and I'm a supporter....

Re: Euro Qualifiers October 7-11

What a difference between the Czech player who was sent off against Spain last night and Rooney. Terrible tackle that could've broken Xabi Alonso's leg, he didn't argue with the Ref and just wanted to make sure Alonso was ok. Spain had 81% possession in that game! Quite ridiculous but thoroughly im...

swansea jack 2-0 to the Jacks 8)

Would hate to be a Stoke fan if that's how they play every week.

It's not. It's how the play after playing in the Europa League on the Thursday before a league game.

It was arguably not even a foul. Clean tackle in my opinion.

Re: Going to watch 'General Football'

I was at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea vs. Swansea (should've been us) at the weekend. I'm also tempted to go to Dean Court for Bournemouth vs. Rochdale next weekend as there's an international break I believe.

Re: Le Fondre will score

Is Kevin Phillips really the same as Curo/Le Fondre. Seems to score goals from absolutely anywhere as far as I can tell. The point was probably that he is an instinctive striker - the type of player that has the natural knack of being in the right place at the right time. Kevin Phillips, even at th...

Re: Federici - the best keeper in the Championship?

If Federici is as good as all his fans say, why did nobody come in for him over the summer? Especially after his comments; he would have been an easy signing for a Premiership team to secure. I'll tell you why nobody came in for him; he's a Championship keeper. A decent one too. Some people think M...

Re: Back from the game - Brizzle City

Pitman stood in front of away end with arms outstrecched. Dont have a problem with that, just spices things up nicely. He was the best player on the pitch anyway, would walk into our team. Saw him a lot at Dean Court and he's a fantastic player, one who excites the crowd and tries things that most ...

Maguire Glad someone's shouted out Guinness on this thread because after the world's nastiest pint of lager followed by rancid Strongbow on Saturday I was about to give up drinking at halftime full stop.

Have yourself a glass of Chardonnay, m8.

Re: Premier League 2011-2012

Any laws of the game types who can explain why United didn't get a penalty for the foul on Hernandez for which Cole was booked? My only thought was that the ball was dead - but I didn't think that made a difference. When Gillespie elbowed Stephen Hunt with the ball out of play, we got free-kick, ri...

Re: weekend football 10th September etc

Thomas L'Heureux Man United are just too much. 5-0 away at Bolton and could've had six or seven. I know 'City have got some fantastic players but their rivals are in a different league in terms of the style of their play. Fergie's boys have stepped it up so far this season.

Having said that... David Silva <3.
