Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

Anyone wanting to see where Stam is taking us should have gone to the U23 game last night. The first half was really very good using the same approach as the first team ,just with a bit more pace and urgency. We played the ball quicker out of defence and Osho in particular kept putting good passes ...

Re: New Training Ground

If I recall correctly there was housing & accommodation included in the original planning application. Not that that would stop the conspiracy theorists like 1871 from their doom mongering.

Re: Evening kick-off time

Given that RFC is some distance from the station they rely on over two dozen special bus services from Reading Transport & Stagecoach, as well as the regular Park & Ride and the F1 shuttle buses, plus other specials from various clubs & pubs. I would suggest that this is a much higher fi...

Re: Evening kick-off time

One of the main reasons for the later time was the availability of both buses and drivers for all the football buses after the normal evening rush hour. Given the increased number of those services, and the reduced local car parking, nothing has really changed to bring about what you wish. Many othe...

Re: Stadium name to be change to highest bidder

To get an income from naming rights you have to have some organisation willing to pay. As this has still not yet happened under the new owners it is clearly not as easy as 1871 thinks. Regret his grasp of finance is about at the same level as his football knowledge.

Top Flight you are living in a dreamworld with no financial problems. In the real world take your kid and the neighbours to Wealdstone where they are often given free admission. Show your Reading season ticket and three of you would have got in for £6. Would that make you happy?

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

I see that there have been a few extra buses added already on some of the Reading Buses & Stagecoach routes so improvements are being made. Not that that will concern the moaners and self entitled.

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

[. I was thinking of giving the buses a go but if they're full near Elm Park they'll be even worse by the time it gets to me further down the Tilehurst Road. How full are they? So full it just drives past you or just so full that it's standing room only? Four different buses cover various routes th...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Suspect that all the officials may have been influenced by the fourth official Elliot Kaye who was the worst referee I have ever seen and surprised he is still getting appointments. The bad news is that that the referee in the match is the fourth official at Charlton this afternoon. Assessors not do...

Re: Non-League Football in Reading

Huntley & Palmers did play at a good non-league level some years ago as I had a friend (ex QPR junior) who drove from Harrow every week for "boot money". It was Spartan League though which was more of a force in the 60s/70s.

Re: Green Park Match Day Parking

I did the same and in fact the bus was emptier on the way back than the inward journey. Suspect some are just finding ways to justify their need to drive everywhere from door to door (often on their own as well). Just give the other methods a try.

Re: Reading FC (Holdings) accounts 2014/15

The accounts are for the closure of the old holding company and are no indication of the current set up. I made the mistake of looking at them via the link above and have now had thirteen copies of them! Utter shambles. Beware anyone else who uses the link. There are still inherent losses in the old...

Re: MK Dons (A) - 16th January

Always used various cross country routes via Aylesbury or nearby and found them much better than the motorways, Depends where you start from I suppose as I am already NW from Reading.
