Re: Back from the game Burnley

Atmosphere was immense, shame can't be said about our failure to see the game out. Looked a definete foul from where I was stood, unsure whether it was inside or outside.

Bikey was an absolute disgrace throwing his shirt around.

Re: Play-Off Tickets

Burnley have sold out for both legs according to their website. With a capacity of 22,546 and only about 1400 for the away leg, it's no great shocker. It's already been pointed out that you got the away leg wrong. You've also got the home game wrong as the capacity of Turf Moor has been reduced rec...

Re: Play-Off Tickets

How long does it take to get from the ground to Burnley Manchester Road Station? If it's more than 15 minutes I don't think I can go. Oh and do you think there will be Burnley away tickets on general sale? http://www.footballgroundguide.com/burnley Burnley in terms of trains is a crappy little dest...

Re: Who's incredibly nervous about Sunday?

What's there to be nervous about? As long as we win, I ain't too fussed. Going into the Playoffs with 3 back to back wins is perfect timing for a bit of form at this stage of the season.

Some different ideas to those that were listed; Octobober 1998 - Reading 2-1 Stoke http://www.royals.org/matdoc/031098.html February 1999 - Reading 2-1 Preston http://www.royals.org/matdoc/200299.html Both games had us going in front before the opposition pegging a goal back before we scored late wi...

Re: Play-Off Tickets

Am I right in thinking around 4,000 tickets will go onsale to non ST holders for the 2nd leg of the Playoffs assuming all ST holder's buy? Do we really have 16,000 STH's this season? Thought it was a fair bit lower than that... My estimation was quite high tbf. I suspect 6,000-8,000 would then go o...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

My Simon Cox bet... I know someone else had this anti-post too but somewhere on here I told of my £40 e/w bet at 40/1 for Cox to be div 1 top scorer. I have 3 possible good outcomes and a shit outcome from next weeks games I think. Lambert doesn't score and Cox gets 2 or more (no one else betters) ...

Re: What The Papers Say - Goodbye Steve

Nothing new really, the underlying feeling amongst the people I know indicates that if we got promoted, SC goes off into a wilderness having got Reading back to the Premiership after the pain of relegation to which he felt solely responsible and if not, he gave it his best shot and leaves a club bet...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Another ante-post bet of mine could be settled tomorrow, I had Burnley on the Championship Handicap at +24 points at the usual Handicap betting price of 18's, for a £5 stake. I didn't publish it on the betting thread as I done it on the Saturday morning of when the football season began and was off ...

Re: Back From The Game - Derby

It was a Tuesday night, Derby are fighting a relegation battle and as we didn't sell our allocation of tickets, the gate was always going to be 500-1000 short. It was certainly one of my more favourite away games this season with the ground walking distance from the train station, a couple of away f...
