Re: TAKEOVER CONFIMRED

Also . . . . . . the takeover isn't confirmed. Can I lightly suggest to the OP that he finds validation in something in his life other than starting threads on here. Go oxf*rd your self you cheeky pcunt. How dare you talk to a board Titan like that. The disrespect shown to the senior board members ...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.2 sponsored by Dunlop Tennis Balls

WestYorksRoyal SBWD have political involvement. Surely MPs can put pressure on EFL to be super thorough with Storey?

They'll be exactly as thorough as they would be anyway. MP involvement doesn't give the FL any more power, skill or money to investigate.

MPs really aren't that influential.

Orion1871 Shock horror as crooked chancer Storey is the only one willing to do business with crooked chancer Dai.

Apart from the fact multiple parties are reportedly interested.

Re: TAKEOVER CONFIMRED

This guy is a known bullshit merchant. There's a chance he's just conned the Telegraph.

Not the choice any of us want. But anyone who can stabilise stuff for a while is still an improvement. Briefly at least.

Well, one of the least good options available.

He's been pushing this for a while and is known to be full of it, which given disclosure rules, I tend to think he's conned the journo.

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.2 sponsored by Dunlop Tennis Balls

Agreed that if Dai was still committed we'd be fine in L1, but that just shows why clubs need to be more sustainable so that they're not dependent on their owner. As it is we're now without a stadium and a new owner will have to cover short term losses, making our way out of this sorry mess much ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (h)

Can't say I saw much trouble myself last night - worst was a group of Swindon fans who'd ripped a seat out of a train going from Reading to Green Park. Police seemed to be on all the carriages except that one. In terms of the football: it was disappointing to see CBC get injured in the warm ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (h)

Someone suggested we've got ~20 outfield players of fairly similar ability - that ability is clearly above youth level of most L1/L2 sides, but might be below the level of an average L1 first team (albeit with a young squad that should quickly improve throughout the season). Which would be why we'r...

Re: Injury watch 2023/24

Despite our financial and ownership problems could we bring in a keeper on an emergency loan basis, if required? Probably not with our first choice keeper available. If Button drops too, then I should expect so. I think you're right. IIRC, you can only get an emergency loan keeper if you don't have...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.2 sponsored by Dunlop Tennis Balls

Yeah we have been losing a lot of money and not all of it is down to the players' wages, there have been a lot of costs that I've never known where it has gone and what we were spending it on. If it is true that we were spending like a top end Championship club it only goes further to prove that Da...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (h)

All last night showed is what we already know - the team can create chances and when playing weaker opposition where defence is really not much of a concern can create tons of the them - problem has mostly been taking the chances created, or picking the right pass when in good position. Our Home fo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (h)

We all moan about this 4-2-2-2 system, and yes, i know we were only playing Swindon's second 11, however, i think it proved that with the right players playing wing backs then it can work!! NGW and Yids both got up the field tonight and played particularly well, NGW especially so. Carson isn't quit...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (h)

The main positive from this is just how close to the first team the second string are. And getting valuable experience that will stand them in good stead. I think it’s part of our problem that the 20 odd first Teamers are all about the same level. All useful but all flawed in way or another It's th...
