Re: Ex Players

I am 100% in favour of taking the knee, as long as the players want to. I can understand people finding the gesture futile, but actually being upset by it is, well, “odd”. I support anyone anywhere making a personal statement about something important to them that does nothing to disrupt or harm ot...

Re: Ex Players

The ironic thing is that it's only the gimps calling for the players to stop taking the knee that's keeping the fact that some players are still taking the knee in the news. Suggested reading for the thick Wokies, John Barnes's "The Uncomfortable Truth About Racism" "Taking the knee ...

Re: Ex Players

Not his finest moment whattacock Sometimes you have to wonder what, exactly, goes through the mind at times like this I'm from more of the side that says "what goes on in the mind of the dude behind" He's probably been in Qatar too long and was just like "do something stupid to show ...

Re: Ince out!

He’s done ok here so far, no he’s not the best manager out there but given the club’s circumstances I don’t see a need to be calling for him to go and after the last incumbent he is certainly a step up. With a fully fit set of defensive options to call on Reading will hopefully improve consistency ...

Re: Ince out!

So in summary - in cherry picking the facts and stats to suit - 2 were a success and 2 were not. Lets call that a draw. Perhaps "in-different" or "neutral" were the words you were looking for. Hope that helps. Not cherrypicking at all. He's had ONE successful season, in terms of...

Re: Ince out!

Has he? Or has he just tended to be at clubs where the odds are that failure is likely eventually? Let's take a look. Took over Blackburn for the 2008/2009 season. They'd finished 7th in the Premier League under Mark Hughes the previous season. They did have a 9 game trott of one win, three draws, ...

Re: Ince out!

Ince has proven himself to be a manager who makes a hash of things after a short period of time. Has he? Or has he just tended to be at clubs where the odds are that failure is likely eventually? Let's take a look. Took over Blackburn for the 2008/2009 season. They'd finished 7th in the Premier Lea...

Re: Ince out!

Would help if Dai would stop making questionnable management appointments in the first place Unfortunately I doubt that is going to change. You could hope that Bowen would get to pick the next manager, but..... Gomes and Pauno were just head-scratching appointments. Bowen picking himself wasn't a l...

Re: Ince out!

I can't see things picking up. At EVERY CLUB, except his first spell at MK Dons he reaches a point where he can no longer win matches. Then he gets fired. He's NEVER made it past one year at any club. He's just that kind of guy who can put a bit of ummph up the bums of players for a short time, and...

Re: Ince out!

And changing managers eery year has done us the world of good in recent times Yeah, well, Ince saved us from relegation, Pauno saved us from relegation. We only have 25 points, it's not enough to stay up, and this looks like a competitive season. After 20 games, 20 points is the lowest (Huddlesfiel...

I can't see things picking up. At EVERY CLUB, except his first spell at MK Dons he reaches a point where he can no longer win matches. Then he gets fired. Isn't that the case with pretty much every manager at some point, except for a legendary few? Almost every manager gets sacked at some point and...

Re: Are the Ince's losing the dressing room

One thing I noticed when Ince scored, nobody ran towards him. Has all their shouting and ranting pissing off the rest. Last few results would have killed morale, but these negative tactics and weird subs don't look to have helped I think this might just be a natural evolution of Paul Ince the manag...

Re: Do you want Ince to stay?

Loafer Yes I want ince in

I like the fact we have an English manager who was an ex international that commands respect, and he is also a BAME manager

The wrong reasons to want a manager. Because he's English, black and played football does not mean he's going to be GOOD.

Re: Next Reading Manager

Why is everything on here always about rash and irrational decisions..why can't we just have ince I criticized the appointment of Pauno because his record wasn't good. Pauno had a 32.21% win rate with one good season out of four. He got lucky one season, the rest of the time he couldn't hold it up....
