Re: Reading FC Womens World

retro royal Think we need a Shaman at the Stadium and a training ground ASAP

Nah, all we need to do is set of firecrackers all the damn time, works in China, they set off firecrackers in 2020 Spring Festival and they got three years of imprisonment and coronavirus....

Re: International fan base

Do we have any significant fanbases outside of Britain? If so then where in the world are they? have the club ever put any efforts into creating fan bases abroad? just interested to know. thanks for your time. Warm Regards, Winston T Biscuit esq. I'm the China fan base... Never met another Reading ...

Re: Ince out!

I'd have a lot more sympathy if he'd shown an ounce of humility, not spent his entire time blaming the players for everything and made some better managerial decisions. The players are the ones on the pitch kicking the ball. Not the sodding manager.   And yet some managers manage...

SouthDownsRoyal Just a placeholder.

Fire him now, he's won ZERO of his games so far, ZERO points, ZERO goals. Useless, get rid of him NOW.

Re: New manager poll

If we stay up Nathan Jones is the outstanding candidate and one I’d really hope we would make a move for. Plays an excellent brand of football, has outperformed his budget twice at Luton and has shown his eye in the transfer market. But leaves Luton and really can't hack it. Has 12 wins from 54 gam...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Ipswich finished 11th twice and 9th in league one before they're better season this time around. That could well happen to us. Better than finishing 20th every season in the Championship. Or literally just waiting for the next season to get relegated anyway. We've done so badly in the championship ...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Have you thought that maybe you're having to explain it constantly because it's a bad idea? Two types of people. The emotional and the rational. The emotional will say "we want to be in the Premier League, success is the only important thing" The rational will look at everything and try a...

Re: Ince out!

Lost all faith in Ince. He's a tactical numpty. I can't see where the next win comes from. Some of us older farts have seen the Third Division before. It's not pretty, and we could be there for a long time. It is what it is. But Ince is not the man to bring us back up either. Needs to go in the sum...

In fact, based on this season your only hope of competing for promotion from.the Championship is if you have parachute payments or have been promoted from L1 in recent years. Meanwhile, if you're a longstanding Championship team you're basically consigned to the bottom half and often a relegation f...

Historically there is a massive drop in revenue for clubs in League one, the Athletic did a good piece on Wednesday a few years ago: https://theathletic.com/2434618/2021/03/12/why-relegation-to-league-one-could-cost-sheffield-wednesday-8m/ That is a club which has generally attracted far bigger cro...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Nothing specific to us but found it an interesting read; It takes only a glance at the news coverage from those days less than a decade ago, when China’s soccer success seemed only a matter of determination and money, to remember how quickly and how deeply the country embraced the world’s most popu...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

The best thing to look forward to is the opportunity to rebuild as a team, come back as something better. It might not happen, but this fighting relegation every season in the Championship, rinse and repeat isn't fun either.

Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

We're more attractive to new owners as a League One club too. Brilliant facilities (yes they're separate from the club currently, but they could easily be bought with the club) and infrastructure. A bigger fish in a smaller pond compared to the Championship with lots of potential to bounce back and...
