Re: Season Ticket Refund?

A refund doesn't make business sense. The club should discount a season ticket renewal to ensure bums on seats - win-win for both parties.

Re: Rumour - Olise to Celtic

Known to Hammond? He left far too long ago to know next to anything about Olise other than scouting reports. It would be a sideways step in terms of level, but it would give him more exposure to use them as a springboard to something bigger and better. Just get a decent fee!

Hendo I seem to remember this guy ripping us to shreds once...

That'd be my shout too. He and Roberts absolutely destroyed us that day.

Re: Dave Kitson`s plan to oust Gordon Taylor

I don't think Kitson is racist, I think he's an opinionated twat with an inflated sense of self worth and some reasonably well documented mental health issues. He doesn't think before he speaks sometimes. He'd be a terrible PFA frontman for those reasons, much as I loved him as a player. And an exc...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Why can't they just postpone this season until January 2021? It offers plenty of time for this to all die down and bring under control, and then we simply carry on where we left off. That way there's zero unfairness to anyone.

Re: Enjoying or hating the no football era?

Still not missing it, but with August a million miles away, I'm sure it'll kick in soon. Worse still if we don't get to watch any live games next season. I don't think it'll come to that though. We'll see at least half of next season. I'm expecting some level of social distancing to continue until t...

Re: Finance

Of all the suggestions, I love the "we should put less money as fans into the club to bring the wages down". You then attract a lesser quality player to the club, and ultimately play at a lesser level.

Re: Worst Reading Player

Hughes played with a lot of heart and would run all day, but was bang bang average. He was a modern day Karacan. Karacan was a brilliant player - energetic, great tackler, scored a few. I remember him saying on a podcast that Adkins told him we would’ve gone up in 13/14 if he’d stayed injury-free. ...

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

Would assume my remaining bundle tickets will rollover to the net season - even thought Ts & Cs say you forfeit them. Goodwill gesture by the club will encourage positive behaviour from supporters - the "tough shit you forfeit" response would make people think twice about spending. It...

Jagermesiter1871 People worried about our finances but we could easily be playing in the Prem next year.

This is the season we will finally win a play-off final... but you're not going to see it.

Re: Dave Kitson`s plan to oust Gordon Taylor

I must have missed Kitson upsetting Raheem Sterling, but he's had to apologise again; and Tyrone Mings wants to chat with Kits. Have I missed some race fallout or something?

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

Latest rumour is that the season in the four professional divisions in England will completed but in a typical manner so as not to upset any team at the top of their division or in a relegation battle. Therefore promotion will still happen based on ppg ratio but relegation won’t. The League Cup nex...

Re: Worst Reading Player

Nicky Colgan!!! Anyone who was at Oxford away the year we went down from Division One will remember just how bad a keeper this guy was. By far the worst in my time watching us, and that's going back to the early 90's. He was having such a sh*t game, he couldn't even take a goal kick and eventually c...

Re: Worst Reading Player

Special mentions go to: Sean Evers (£500,000 back in the old Third Division, League One today). Big money at the time for that level. Of many Tommy Burns flops (RIP). Keith Scott. A donkey of a carthorse that set us back around £250,000? Did one good thing against Bradford in a League Cup game IIRC,...

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

Is there any suggestion that season ticket holders will be refunded for the games that will not be played or are behind closed doors? Personally, I'd be happy to waive this but only if the players/management accept a pay cut or do their bit in some other way I wont be asking for one considering the...

Re: Ngel Howe on radio

This is what happens when you pay silly wages to players who wouldn't have otherwise come near us. The sooner we have a shake-up and ship out the players who are here for the wrong reasons the better. Get back to how we used to run this football club!

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Could be no fans at football matches next season until the new year. This will have a devastating impact on football if so. Or there could be fans back from the Autumn. We don't know yet. No we don't, but some MP yesterday morning was saying there could be no mass gatherings until 2021, and they're...
