Re: What's the most obscure Reading match you have been to?

Has to be the game v Lerskils in Sweden this summer, the Royals were pretty well supported all being considered. Got to sit next to Brian McDermott and listen to my mate discuss how good Alex Pearce was with him. Blistering hot day too. Quite how our group found a pub/resturant within walking dista...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Laid Leeds tonight at 1.9. With the exception of Delph, they have very little in the creativity department and I think they'll struggle for the win.

Re: A bit worrying

According to yesterday's paper we got 19,570 with our average attendance this season 19,518 (source: News of the World). So this attendance crisis that's suggested really isn't too bad when you take into account we still have higher gates than the likes of Birmingham and Cardiff. With decent crowds ...

Re: Bobby Convey Leaves

Good luck to Bobby Convey. It was inevitable he was to leave, he was out of contract in the summer and hasn't featured for a long while. My favourite memory was probably his goal at Wolves, which secured another 3 points and for players and fans alike made it seem that promotion was going to happen....

Re: European Leagues Thread 2008/2009

Javier Aguirre sacked as coach of Athletico Madrid. Seems strange with the Champions League only just weeks away. They've always had an exceptional first X11 but the depth of the squad remains to be questioned.

Re: Sir Steve is God

It wouldn't be HNA? without the usual posters giving it all negativity time and time again. We've supplemented the squad and look set for a great end of season battle for Premiership football. With players to come back, we go into the final 3rd in good shape. Only dissapointment is maybe some of the...

Re: Shane Long

He'll be our striker till the end of the season, by which time I expect him to leave regardless of which league we're in. We should make a sizeable return on our investment (effectively he was a punt) and Long will ask questions of why he never got the run of games he needed while Coppell will look ...

Re: No longer a rumour - Jay Tabb

hopefully it will allow James Henry to go out on loan and continue his development. Here's hoping - maybe Parky will take him ? Possibly. My money would be on B Rodgers taking him on loan at Watford where he could also join up with one of his England chums J Cork. Would be good for Henry to get a r...
