AthleticoSpizz Lovely idea, but that’s a lot of wage bills.

I doubt it as they are all retired or at lower league clubs.... would be minimal in grand scheme of things.

I would also have Jem Karacan back. An ex captain and a proper royal. He would bring some nostalgia back to the squad to.

Re: Mentor for Stam/Turnaround consultant

Stam comes across as too stubborn to listen to a mentor..... I'm sure Sir Alex Fergusson would forgive him and answer the phone if he could bring himself to call asking for advice, likewise his ex Man Utd team mates who have, relatively speaking, been more successful managing teams at this level......

Re: Spaculation Phillip Wollscheid

Stam has said he will have to scour free market options after injury to Tommy Elphick. This could be a bit of a coup really..... Phillip Wollsheid, he is an ex Stoke Player and a solid Centre Back. Just been released by Metz as they cant afford his wages, at 28 he has 3 or 4 more years in him and h...

Re: What was the single biggest mistake we made this season?

Something unfortunately out of our hands...... Injuries losing Obita, Swift, Mccleary, Kermorgant early on and Evans, these were all players that I thought were going to be Key this year and have made this season what it has. It has meant that we don't have the competition for places or the quality ...

Re: Who could replace Stam?

royalp-we It'll be Clement, Di Matteo or McClaren.

Although it seems Stam and his team won't be sacked until we lose another few yet.

Has anyone thought of Coleman took an impossible job at Sunderland maybe realises his mistake, I have always rated him from his Fulham days.

Re: CONFIMRED - Tommy Elphick

I doubt he will come to us but I have heard Tottenham are looking to loan out Kyle Walker-peters Southampton were interested but they were more keen for him to go to a championship club to get more game time. Plays left and right back.

Re: Time to think outside the box

Those who think Sam Smith is even near good enough for the first team are the reason why Jaap Stam is the manager and you aren't In regards to pacey strikers we are a bit short on that front (the nicky forster to the cureton) I would take barrow and Smith in that position over GMac and Aluko any da...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

It looks like this could happen. Pointing towards a permanent deal aswell.
Comes across as a player that just wants to belong somewhere.
Come on Stam and Brian put a big arm round him tell him he will be a main striker with us and get it over the line.

Re: Time to think outside the box

My view - and it really won't happen, should go 4-4-2 (or poss 4-4-1-1) and attack using the pace of our wingers. Go with a starting line up of (based on McShane being out and who I would play not who Stam would pick): Mannone Gunter Ilori Moore Richards Popa Edwards Bacuna Barrow JDB Kermorgant (o...

Re: Time to think outside the box

I would just like to think old school and play 4-4-2 it has worked in the past for us and cant see why it would not again. I know it wont happen but I would love Stam just to do it to humour the many on here that would love to see it. ------------------------------------- Mannone--------------------...
