Re: Let’s give Dai some credit

Nameless DIDn’t Brighton essentially rely on a rich owner to pour money in ?

They certainly did

Tbf since they’ve got the prem they’ve played it very well with some excellent signings

Brentford had a decent model but it took a long while to really get right and bear fruit

Re: BFTG/TV - M'bro H

"The only Boro chance...." You were there for the last 20 minutes weren't you?. I recall at least 3 clear cut chances and thought each was going in but relieved to see our keeper catch the ball. I thought the keeper did well and on the game as a whole we just edged it. So good to see the ...

Re: Joao to West Brom nonsense.

What was disappointing with Joao is he DID press hard against Blackburn - at least before the game died a death

Think Ehib would have done a better job yesterday tbh

Re: BFTG/TV - M'bro H

First half we didn’t have the energy of Wednesday but were still excellent. Think Boro had one half chance and that was it. Whilst we looked quick organised and dangerous Looked broken by the end of the second half. Completely knackered but kept the concentration and determination. Still looked lik...

Re: BFTG/TV - M'bro H

The highest possession we`ve had in 3 home games is 39% vs Cardiff it was 27% yesterday, brilliant to get 3 wins, but if we keep giving away 70% the better teams will certainly hurt us. Yes there is an excuse because there were some tired legs out there,, but we need to get in faces in the middle o...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I got chatting to a Boro fan after the game and tbf he was quite complimentary about us. He thought we just about deserved the win as we dug in really well and he felt for all their possession Boro didn’t offer much. He said that because of all the negativity about us being under a transfer embargo...

Re: Rival Watch

They looked quite good on the highlights, keeper made some good saves against them

But yes quite funny anyway. If ever a game was going to be a 0-0 it was that one

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

Think today we saw the result of basic having 11-12 players. Looked broken by the end Need to get those injured players back then keep that discipline and desire and upper lower mid table perfectly plausible With that desire and work rate, allied with a little talent and momentum this team could fi...

Re: Let’s give Dai some credit

Shouldn’t have binned Bowen but has started fixing things by bringing him back

Ince - don’t quite know how he ended up on our radar but done a decent job so far

Re: Rival Watch

Mr Optimist I have a lot of sympathy for Coventry after the crap they have had to put up with over the last few years, but after two cancelled games, any further games after that should just be awarded a 3-0 win to the opposition.

Yes, getting silly now. Play at Birmingham or something otherwise

Re: BFTG/TV - M'bro H

One other thing. For all the ridiculous jibes about Ince from pundits and fans, he has us battling for every ball, dangerous going forward, fit and very very organised. Also has the fans back in great voice with a cracking atmosphere today Not trendy to say this nowadays but him and his coaching tea...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

Just back Very good win. 1st half very good, completely outplayed them. Let them Stam ball but we were by far the more dangerous Looked absolutely shattered second. Kept going though and defensive shape and organisation excellent. Boro didn’t threat a lot considering their possession Fornah brillian...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

There was a bloke on FB complaining the sleeves on the main kit looked like the Pride flag and opposition fans would think he was gay if he wore it. I think that says more about him and his own insecurities that it does about the shirt. Absolutely. Especially when it looks nothing like a Pride flag...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

Sounds like Boro absolutely battered Stoke (who are shite mind you - what was Laurent thinking?)

Boro midfield looks tasty - McNair/Howson/Mowatt. Fair play if we can get on top of that trio. Will need a repeat performance from Loum, Hendrick and Fornah

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

On the other hand - Long for all his qualities has scored 1 pen in about 3 full games Joao scored within 8 mins Just don’t get players with his scoring ability around very often. Very few players in the div would have scored the goal he did, and from the second he got possession we thought it’d end ...
