Re: Strikers.

yep, history would suggest its worth giving Bod an extended break at the start of the season. Him and Nova seem similar players, I'd like to see Nova + new striker starting in pre-season.

Re: Rumour: Kemar Roofe for 7m

*Roofe signs* Anthony Smith: "Sorry I missed it lads, I was at B&Q and the phone reception is awful in there." "I ran out of credit as I was typing". Whilst CF is questioning over Twitter why Reading don't run a bus shuttle service from the station to the stadium unlike Wyco...

Re: Rumour: Kemar Roofe for 7m

Is this just some nonsense rumour website sourcing another nonsense rumour website?

Until the chronicle are on the case, I wont believe a word of it

(If it did happen though, think he is quite a useful player. Not 7m useful, but still)

Re: Royal Elm Park

Website no longer working here. Project delayed/off? Interesting. Of course the website was all about the plans etc when they were trying to get planning permission through, which isn't needed now, but you'd have thought they'd have hung onto the site anyway, for information/publicity etc during de...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

I find it a bit of an odd comment though. It’s not like Clarke’s reliance on ridiculous loans, Stam’s bargain bucket first season or the wasteful expensive signings of last year It strikes me as a genuine effort by PC to fill glaring gaps in last years squad. We need a leader at CB and whilst I thin...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

Still think it's a terrible signing that leaves unpleasant question marks about our transfer strategy. But agree Yiadom and Meyler are very positive. I'm certainly behind Clement. And whilst I don't like the signing of O'Shea obviously he gets a free pass during games in which he plays until he pro...

...and if Chester does go as seems quite likely, surely has big implications for Elphick coming to us. With Terry and Chester gone, doubt they will let him go as well

interesting that bid. Talk of £10m will get him. Note he is almost 30. Would certainly think Moore should be in the same sort of price bracket

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

I honestly think Meyler and Yiadom were cracking signings, esp on a free. Read lots of good stuff about Meyler from Hull fans, and Yiadom was wanted by a number of Prem sides last year. Surprised we got him O'Shea is definitely a bit meh, but can see the thinking. PC has obviously seen what we all s...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Not worth the wages Leeds will stump up. Talk of 70k a week. Not going to happen here and suprised if he doesn’t end up in the prem- would be a decent signing on a free £70k a week? Youd have thought 15 out of the Premiership would have taught them about spending money they haven't got. true, but s...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

So regarding the Aston Villa debacle, can anyone confirm where the funds and running capital for Reading are located? Do we have holding companies based in mainland China? This seems to be a pivotal issue for Chinese owners/investors Doesn't Dai Xiu Li have a British passport, or is married to a Br...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Considering we are essentially an Ex-Hull XI now, I'm hoping we will derail Leeds' bid for Abel Hernandez who's out of contract this month. Not worth the wages Leeds will stump up. Talk of 70k a week. Not going to happen here and suprised if he doesn’t end up in the prem- would be a decent signing ...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

Can see Moore going, Elphick if cheap, or a youngish defender coming in (that chap at Portsmouth maybe) and the majority of the Moore money spent on a striker.
