Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Martinez Yiadom Moore McShane Gunter Miazga Baker Ejaria Swift Barrow Meite I think we need to set up to frustrate Stoke in the hope of coming away with a point. So I would bring in McShane alongside Moore and push Miazga into a CDM role. Please no more dicking about with short passes deep in our o...

Re: 51 Academy players

As more and more money is pumped into the game, the need for using academy players are diminishing, Not sure I fully agree with that. I think its going back the other way again where teams, esp us, realise that its the only way to keep the finances stable. FFP is a big part of that. Definitely seem...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Rino was limping about before the Wigan game outside, but was out of the protective boot

It does seem that basically once you go into the treatment room you don’t come out.

Re: 51 Academy players

Novakovich is already worth 1m+ Id say at a minimum, possibly a lot more - therefore already a success

Got money for Samuel as well, so again a good return

If theres one way to make sure we don't frustrate Stoke, its bringing in McShane and Gunter :)

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Yep, though I’d keep Blackett in. Otherwise same team as that ^^^

It’s going to be a real struggle I feel. Not the team I’d like to pick at all. Soft midfield, blunt attack. We’ll do well to get anything

It’s not ‘my little stats page’

He winds me up as well btw. Just think some of the criticism isn’t justified

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

thinking the 2 week break after Stoke is going to be absolutely massive for us. If for example we get Rino, Oliveira, Ejaria, Bod, Baldock and possibly even Eza back, its a totally different ballgame. I don't think any of those are complete write offs for the Preston game at this stage. If they are...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Don't fully disagree Ian, and a fair response I just think the opposite - I think he gets a tougher time than he deserves. I can accept some of the criticism - the occasional slow thinking, the lacks of concentration and being pushed off the ball too easily. But the positives outweigh the negatives ...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

I enjoy reading stats but likewise don’t base all my opinion on them, but the contrast between those two players is very stark and really needs to be accepted Also those stats aren't massaged, they are simple stats about tackles, passes, dribbles etc. If I was just basing it on 100 small passes per ...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Swift can oxf*rd off. Biggest waste of space since Royston. Total passenger. Wow, you've really outdone yourself there. Additional to this, and I know you're a fan of WhoScored Ian, compare him and your mate Kelly on there. https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/94/Show/England-Reading Offensively Swift h...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

One thing I noticed with Leeds compared to us, when our defenders had the ball whoever was man marking Swift came with him wherever he went. Meaning that the space between there press was a lot smaller. When we press with our top 3 + Swift, Baker and East were very fixed and rigid and that meant th...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

yep, its not just opinions either, its stats backed. Take Wigan, where I thought he had a poor game. WhoScored rates him as our star man, at 7.7. 3 tackles won (though he never tackles apparently), 86% pass success rate, a massive 6.5% of possession in the game, and even won an aerial duel. Even Lee...

Re: Rival Watch

out of interest, wtf did they sack Holloway at QPR? He had them improving and playing decent football last year. McClaren must be approaching sack time
