Re: We need a goalkeeper this week.

look at teams like Coventry and Luton in recent seasons. Haven't needed to break the bank to get promotion winning teams together. So, while money should help, it still needs a proper plan and a good manager/coach to get the best out of the resources you have.

Re: Rival Watch

yes, just saw this as well. While Dai has clearly run out of available funds, there is definitely a case of "be careful what you wish for" when it comes to getting alternative investors in. Similar fact pattern at Derby when a US debt fund called in its loans. Interesting to note the Peter...

Re: another, thants right another embargo for late PAYE payments - a new embargo

The point about China may be fairly moot. While China Dili is a Chinese listed (public) company, Dai and his family still own around 60% of it. If you look at the actual shareholders and trusts, they are all registered in either the Cayman Island or BVI. If you look at the entities that Dai has used...

Re: MATCHWATCH : QPR

Holmes and TMac probably both regretting signing multi-year contracts (without relegation clauses presumably). Personally think Holmes is better than TMac. TMac comes across as being not the brightest button in the box and think that shows in the way he plays I'd have said the opposite to be honest...

Re: another, thants right another embargo for late PAYE payments - a new embargo

This is probably my last dredge of optimism, but you’d think Bowen and co all knew this was happening. Surely, Savage along with the other signings would not have signed for us unless we have secured some financial backing. yes, if wages are paid prior to the month end (eg 29 June) then PAYE is pay...

URZZZZ Cywka at one point too - although he didn’t feature too much himself

And wasn't a winger.

3points Wasn't James Henry in the mix at the time as well?

No.

Just checked Wiki - 2 year overlap. Henry was 2006 -2010 and Antonio was 2008-2012

Re: Sam Smith confimred

Also, the person who raised the comment didn't specify a side. Antonio counts in the numbers, so that's definitely four, with McCleary coming in as 5. And we may have forgotten a youth player or someone more obscure. So as I said, it's fairly close. Wasn't James Henry in the mix at the time as well...

3points probably end up in Saudi Arabia (more likely Cyprus)

Why Cyprus

it's where a lot of player's at the end of the their useful careers seem to end up. Could be Turkey of course

Re: RFC accounts for 2021/2 published

I thought all club owners had to present a clear open business model to the FL for audit when buying a club so that ownership and money trails couldn't be hidden away in various places and it was clear who was involved and where the finances were coming from, but perhaps that's a bit like common se...

Re: RFC accounts for 2021/2 published

Therefore laundering dirty money into the club and having it owed back to him as clean money at point of sale? Am I reading you correctly? that is one intepretation. But laundering is normally dirty money from the proceeds of crime (eg drugs, arms, etc). My take is you borrow money for a company yo...

Re: RFC accounts for 2021/2 published

I was looking at a post on Twitter about Dai’s company in China being investigated for some potential loan fraud. Given China Dili (the new name for Renhe) is a public company then there’s quite a lot of info available when looking at various corporate announcements. My take is that Dai has used his...

Pepe the Horseman Someone's gone to a hell of a lot of effort if they're fake. I like the away one, but looks more like a training top. The home one is horrific imho.

+1 - defo looks like a training top

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Things starting to move? How many young LBs we got now - 4? NGW(though not that young), Clarke, Carson and now Maragh? Think so, although looks like Maragh may play exclusively with u-21s, based on that wording. Plus Yiadom and McIntyre who the management always seem to pick for any actual games. c...

Re: Potential New Owners

How much do we think the club itself is worth - how do you value such an entity and what would it include? Then how does the debt get factored in to come up with an overall price? SJM sold to Zinga for £25m over a decade ago. Unlikely to be worth less than that given Bearwood is valued around £50m ...
