Re: BFTG West Brom

Was an okay game to watch no one stood out except Loum and Lumley. We didn't didn't do enough to deserve a point. WBA did more than enough to get the 3. The game was exactly what it was, our 3rd game in 6 days with a few rotations but largely the same group playing. On T Ince moaning is frustrating ...

Re: Away Support

Be nice to see the average distance those travelling have done as well. As mentioned its a northern dominant league. Plus Reading basically only have a handful of games under 200 miles round trip in Bristol, QPR, Luton, Millwall and Watford. Then you see that of the closer ones in Luton and Watford ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a)

The more i think about it the more i feel for Tmac. He has had Baba casually doing something in front of him. Must be difficult to know where to defend when you dont know if your LWB going to track his man or not or even bother running back at all. I prefer a back 3 tbh. When it works it works well,...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a)

Cant see ince going back to a back 4. Not sure how good Holmes is as a communicator but with Hutch in there Mbengue will benefit. Harsh on Meite but I think We need to play without the initial ball being a punt up top. Also as Loum has been put in the WC squad he needs to be on the bench. I felt eve...

Re: Ince out!

If we lost but it was hard fought and just a better side, or the rub of the green went against us, it'd be easier to take. Or if our players just weren’t very good. But it often seems to be as much our own poor performance, tactics and set up, plus continual horrendous injuries, and we rarely seem ...

Re: Ince out!

I think it boils down to - will lnce get this team to perform better than 3 other teams with a 6 point head start? Its a very low bar in my head and the positive start of the season was a total luxury. My mindset is still on finishing above 21st as a good season and mission accomplished. Also can w...

Re: Ince out!

It does, but only at the end of the season, and when you drop ~11 positions in 10 games and are in relegation form, there's no point consoling yourself you're 13th in November. No point shitting the bed in November either. We are not chasing promotion or the play offs. We should not be worrying abo...

Re: Ince out!

Said this previously. If we were actually given the stonewall pen against Burnley this conversation would not be happening. Dead certs for relegation in July + many people / pundits / fans saying we are over achieving as a whole.........sure sack the manager. Get a grip! yeah the football is awful ...

Re: PInce - Concerns Developing - Is He Confused?

When a player is good enough they break through. throwing them on because they had 2 good sub apps doesn't make them better than the player ahead of them. They are not being used for a reason. Mbengue came in and has made more fist team minutes in his first 2 months than Abrefa has had in his entire...

Re: PInce - Concerns Developing - Is He Confused?

Last couple of games had a feel of Pauno towards the end, tactically wrong confused patterns of play, disjointed. But it stops there, its just a couple of games in a snapshot of the season so far. Take a few steps back and look at Ince since August and we are streets ahead. Only concern is i feel hi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h)

Do like Carroll but hoofing it to him becomes too easy an option when he’s up top, players don’t seem to take as much responsibility. Long has to be due a start, Ince seems to be rotating the strikers a fair amount without giving Long a chance from the start so fancy him to start Friday Lumley Yiad...

Re: Ex Players

Interesting to see Mark Bowen echo similar comments to myself from a few months ago regarding Michael Olise's move to Palace, being that his buy-out clause was far too low for a player of his ability and potential, claiming that, had the situation have been managed differently, the outcome may be d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h)

I cant see Ince changing formation as he didn't midweek whilst we being battered. So need to use the academy CB- Clark looked good in his cameos. I just cant see us not starting Joao. Ejaria does do his fair share of defensive duties and I think he would be better used a bit further back and pick ou...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a)

Joao did fine when he came on. I dont think any other player would have done any better to be honest. Long would have chased harder but you need players behind you doing the same for it to be effective. It was clearly the mangers instruction not to bother pressing them so Joao was the right sub - wr...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a)

Unfortunately, I would say that they way we set up the amount our defence had to deal with a mistake was inevitable. It worked for 40 odd minutes, perfect game plan. Got them on the break but the writing was on the wall as soon as we didn't react after their first. We held out to HT where i thought ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a)

I think we need to drop the Joao or Carroll partnership until we figure out the best way to make it work. Carroll just invites us to launch balls up to him - WBA were happy to allow him to win everything as it was not in a dangerous position and Joao is not a player to challenge for the 2nd balls. N...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

We could drag WBA into a midfield slug and scrap where they may feel uncomfortable and we feel a bit more at ease. But as we are at home I feel we need to get at them. What we lacked against QPR was someone to feed off the knock downs and strengths of Carroll. Ince has got the legs and the ability t...

Re: BFTG - Norwich

Holmes had an absolute belter of a game as did Hoilett. Carroll was unplayable just a shame we couldn't get Ince to link up effectively with him until late on. You could see that Norwich had class throughout the team but we had them at arms length for large sections of the game bar a few near misses...
