Re: Brian's first 46 league games

He's done brilliantly with a small budget and the fact he's lost the player he'd built the team around.

Re: Derby - Weather Watch/Match Thread

Great Knolly BTW who were the 2 muppets drafted in to spout propaganda on BBRC . What game were they watching ?! claiming that Reading were the team most likely to score in the last 20 mins. Battling performance, but 3 points nicked. Derby looked decent and were unlucky.

John Madejski and Nigel Howe.

Re: Derby - Weather Watch/Match Thread

Open play goal. who scored it? Who scored their first ever league goal against Derby? Who scored their second ever league goal against Derby? Who seems to score a lot of goals against Derby? If only he could score against the other teams in the league as regularly as he does against Derby he would ...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2010/20011

But if the best players all play for the two best teams, with very little exception, that's not really a valid point. Amongst others Forlan, Llorente, Joaquín (Getting back to the sort of form he showed in his first few seasons), Navas and Fabiano are all very good players, better than most Bundesl...

Re: The past, present and near future

More laughable than funny. Beggars belief the number of idiots who don't understrand that when a player has a release clause of £6m, whe are contractually obliged to notify him of a bid of £7m. But of course, I forgot, although there's no evidence of this, it's a known fact that John Madejski held ...

Re: Long - time for a change?

Wenger was a dignified loser. ‘If you look at the stats, it’s a mystery how we lost the game,’ he said. Then he realised how hollow that sounded, since football is about far more than the simplicities of statistics. ‘We put ourselves in the right position, and we failed,’ he said. ‘That is something...

Fairy nuff. Only repeating the rumour not saying I believe it. Although anything's possible at that club.

Re: Newcastle sack Hughton....

papereyes Apparently Ashley has spent nearly £10 million in firing Allardyce and Keegan and subsequent compensations. :|

He was also rumoured to be paying Shearer £1m a game when "Mr Newcastle" was manager a couple of years ago.

Re: Government Intervention

Isn't it funny (not funny ha ha) how Platini just happened to vote for Qatar in the 2022 vote while the French government is negotiating a €1bn-plus investment by Qatar into the French nuclear fuel programme.

Re: El Classico

Those that claim the EPL > La Liga can keep the Bolton, Stoke & Chelsea cloggers. That game was something special. But, like the SPL, La Liga more often than not comes down to the results between these two teams. There are at least four teams in with a chance of winning the Prem this year. If y...

It is a team game up to the penalty area at which point the guy at the front has to finish it.

Re: World Cup Bid

You don't have to be a little Englander to know that Fifa are completely crooked spacktards. The bigger scandal would've been if it had gone to Spain/Portugal who definitely can't afford it and you have to ask the same question about England as well especially with the cost of the Olympics added on ...

SLAMMED Was it really worth it at 5-0 though?

Taking out the heartbeat of the Barca team for six months would give Madrid a big advantage for the rest of the season. Horrible? definitely but there are plenty of defenders that would think about a Goikoetxea like challenge on Messi.

Re: El Classico

5-0 ft. Ramos sent off for trying to break Messi's legs  That's disgusting, I hope they throw the book at him. Lionel Messi races forward again and two Real players do nothing more than try to break his legs - Ramos catches him, then in the ensuing melee Ramos shoves Carles Puyol to the floor....
