Re: Confimred loan - Ovie Ejaria

Unfortunately this is Hobnob. Back in the real world your case makes perfect sense. If Brentford’s strategy doesn’t amount to sound financial stability in the crazy world of football finance, God knows what that says about all those fretting over points deductions as the bulldozers arrive at Griffin...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

With wages over 200% and up against a wall on FFP, there was only one way to do this and that was get rid then rebuild which is, more or less, where we find ourselves within a week of season’s end. This was desperately needed if we ever want to get back to the financial stability of those far off da...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

And if you don't have or want facebook, can you see without an account? And some of us are firmly in this camp having paid a tenner for a ticket but can't make it and would happily pay again to watch on ifollow. It's beyond mental that all these matches that are clearly being televised are not avai...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

Lads. We have already played 40 games this season. No way should we look to rest players for a cup competition. The league is our focus. Winning games in the league, finishing as high as possible and playing our key players together where possible to further build on their teamwork and understandin...

morganb
Simmops Good referee. The best a man can get.

:D

Not sure everyone agrees though - a Leeds article on the ref:

I'd say West Brom are the best team and would agree Bamford is nothing special.

Re: BFTG - Forest

Ben Watson says “At the end, it was nice to get the goal but then again I don’t think it was a corner and the ball went out, and there was probably a handball” So just 3 reasons in the scorers view as to why the goal should not have been given and all 3 were missed by the day’s officials. I’m guessi...

Re: BFTG - Forest

They were good first half and then we were good for most of the second and it had been a good game. Then I blame the ref for letting the match fizzle out. The refereeing was as bad as I can remember. Maybe the ball hadn't gone out before the goal, but the officials had already got two such decision...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Enjoyed Bowen’s interview, but took that comment with a pinch of salt. Interestingly my forest mate was complaining about how dirty Reading were, thinks we are the dirtiest side in the division. Always interesting how different the perspective of a game can be from away vs home end. So Bowen is lyi...

Re: BFTG Fulham

Only shame from the match is that the PA had to be used to remind our fans not to be homophobic. 'Chelsea rent-boys' was getting started from the bottom left corner for much of the first half. I shouldn't get too down on it I know, every fanbase has its idiots, was just a bit depressing. Surprised ...

Re: BFTG QPR

Thought he was poor throughout except for the odd bit of magic, cracking bit of skill for the chance where Morrison cleared off the line to be fair Over the two games, he’s no where near as good as QPR fans hype him up I really don’t understand. He was the best player on the pitch. Danger danger ev...

Re: BFTG QPR

I was thinking of going to this, but I had a lot on today. But I went anyway. My first game in a while, and first time in the South Stand since Club 1871 became a thing. I’m not 100% supportive of the increasing ultra style support in British football, but have to admit that the Reading scene in th...

Re: Sone Aluko to China!

My only issue with Aluko going to China was that it wasn't as far away as it might have been. I'll rest more easily as and when he arrives in New Zealand. His arrival at RFC always seemed like a pointless exercise to me. Why didn't Gourlay just despatch one of his underlings with a few sacks of the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Thought we played well. PNE top of the table and we just about outplayed them. We just shaped up a whole lot better. Players seem to know their positions and proper actual tactics PNE were a horrible divey, niggly bunch, constantly play acting and trying to ref the game. Deserved to lose deep in in...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Only on Hob Nob! If the club was stupid enough to take the advice of Grade A idiots and sack Gomes now, frankly it wouldn't deserve any success. Listening to fans post match texts and tweets on Saturday, I got the distinct some were gutted Yiadom scored as they had been just seconds from full on ran...
