Re: JM Interview Official Site

Well, that left me singularly unimpressed and judging by the tenet of that conversation, Tommy Smith will be our only signing before the window closes.

Re: Genuine Poll - Minimum season expectations

With the Stalinist purge that is going on and the Tommy Smith debacle, this all stinks of 87/88 and 97/98 again. Who the oxf*rd would want to come and play for us? I genuinely believe that we are going down this year. One place off the relegation spots would be a result. Very reminiscent of 87/88 w...

Terminal Boardom Has he passed his medical already? Gosh, that was quick.

I have not had a medical today myself, but I have had a shit. I think it will get the No. 2 shirt.

Re: What next?

Watford haven't done anything wrong IMO. He's your player, you can refuse bids how you wish. yeah but their chairman seems like a prick with the way he handles things All chairmen sound like pricks, especially when they adopt this holier than thou attitude. No doubt the same thing in reverse will h...

Re: THE TWO TYPES OF READING FAN

In darker moods that I have from time to time, I try and consider what would have happened had the club sunk under the nightmare that was Thames Valley Royals. Remembering that this was 1983, the idea of fans setting up their own clubs was very much a thing of the future. My beloved Royals would ha...

Re: THE TWO TYPES OF READING FAN

First game 1st January 1966 as a nine-year old (2- 2 v Walsall - We used to score back then. Yay!). Stood at the Town End with Mum, Dad and uncles and after the game had to queue with them to get tickets for the FA Cup tie against Wednesday. Would not get me one though. Bastards. A No. 1 I suppose, ...

I can see us really getting turned over here and the kids getting trampled. I really cannot see where a goal is going to come from. 0-3.

brendywendy greed with all o that

long should be a third choice striker, not 1st.

Totally agree about Long. His seventh touch is oxf*rd atrocious and he could not control a bag of cement. Honest endeavour and a lot of running is not enough at this level.

winchester_royal 3-2 Reading

Re: Newcastle V Reading Match Thread

The next two weeks are going to be vital for the club this season. We HAVE to buy some striking power, otherwise it is really difficult to see where the goals are coming from. I have said this before and will say it again: SHANE LONG IS NOT A FOOTBALLER and has the first touch of a rapist. I do not ...

Re: Newcastle V Reading Match Thread

After watching the first half, my urgent question has to be: is oxf*rd Kebe oxf*rd playing? The ball has to stick more up front and Long is not the player to do that.

Re: Team for the Toon

I'd play the same team as last week except for Long instead of Church. Maybe Mills could come in for Cisse. Subs Hamer Gunnarsson Bignall N Hunt Matejovsky Harper Mills/Cisse Ditto... and I suspect that's what BR may do, apart from Marek (now he's fit) maybe getting the nod over Davies. Convinced t...
