Re: Football Stadia - Past, Present & Future

Yup, I was late to that game too. Got in just in time to see the first goal fly in. IIRC that was in the JPT (or whatever it was called then) southern semi final which I think was the furthest we got in that. EDIT: Not quite true. The LDV vans game was a 4-0 defeat in Feb 2000, the game we are both ...

Re: Forest predictions

2-1 Forest.

A battling performance but ultimately not quite enough.

Cox for us.

Re: Football Stadia - Past, Present & Future

Shame we have such a shocking record there (in games I've seen). Possibly the only ground in the FL that doesn't have backs to the seats either

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield (H)

As regards the experience of our team - Adi Williams pointed out that 5 of the starting 11 have international caps! It's 6. But when they're for such great footballing nations as Jamaica, Wales and Ireland (twice), I don't think that is saying too much. On a different subject - did Attwell book Gun...

I'd be surprised if he lasts that long, given how they've started.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

They can sign players up to the end of this transfer window as I understand, it's the next two windows they can't sign anyone in. But given they've just spent £150m on six players, one has to wonder how on earth they will cope.

Odd. I always find the Mad Stad (and East Stand) terrible for internet signal.

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield (H)

Interesting that the BBC appears to have failed to spot the appalling 'ref' that is S Attwell apparently flash a yellow card at Gunter in second half stoppage time. Fair play to Gunter, there were a couple of occasions during the game when he had long and forceful discussions with Attwell regarding...

Mega 'greed. If Chelsea are going to play like that for the rest of the season we're going to be in for a treat.

Re: Kuhl in, Akpan OUT

On that showing Kuhl in, Cummings (unluckily) out. Obita is far better at left back and we simply can't afford to ignore an entire quadrant of the pitch by having not a single left sided player starting out there. 'Greed. Obita at left back last night gave us much better balance, and the half time ...

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield (H)

From the whole second half performance I thought we deserved at least a draw, but we never seemed to get the rub of the green with ref. He seemed to have different standards for ref kicks we conceded or got. Without going into too much detail on the game or Huddersfield, no more blatant inconsisten...

It's not a lot is it. One 86 minute game, and otherwise from a starter somewhere in the 70s minutes.

Anyone (strap?) got a record of how many games he has played for us, and what's the longest (no. of minutes) game he's played?

Re: Cureton Interview

Was that not the one he called "The Dipper" against Burnley? Burnley is correct, I had remembered it against Oldham but evidently not. From the match report (by Graham): With the game won it was fitting that Cureton popped up again in the dying minutes to score the goal of the game. And w...

Re: Record Watch 2014/15

A team of our historical standing doesn't have a lot to shout about though really does it? We don't have any Premier League/First Division titles and no European trophies. Prior to the two recent Championship titles, we had a couple of third and fourth tier titles and a (now defunct) cup win that on...
