Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

I think you've 'romanticised' historical events in your own mind. He did fantastic in his 1st stint but 2nd stint was dire... Past evidence suggests that his strength is team building. He wasn't given a chance to build one and had to deal with Clarke's mess, a disinterested and demotivated bunch of...

I don't think GR know any more than anyone else to be honest, certainly not with Low in charge currently

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

I agree with that, very disappointing.

I'd like to think that those who post on here are often the extreme end of opinions and a small subset, but the attendances reflect the negativity as well.

Don't quite know why really, but must be frustrating for the players etc

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

on its own, missing out on the playoffs would be annoying but wouldn't mind too much.

My fear would be if for whatever reason it set off a train of events of Tevreden/Stam moving on, takeover not happening, and starting back at square 1

Re: Rival Watch

None of those games (bar Rotherham) are likely to be easy. Blackburn looked like they played well and the two up front are dangerous certainly

Re: Rival Watch

Bonus result that. Dropped points in last two home games Fulham.

Shows as the cliche goes - no easy games in the champ

Re: Loan Watch 2016/17

Certainly not one to write off yet. I'd keep hold of him but try to loan him to a champ club next year - if he could cut out the ridiculous mistakes he could be an excellent player

Difficult to see where he fits in at the moment with McShane, Moore, iLori and Blackett all ahead of him presumably

There's a reason he is known as Colin. Best to ignore whatever he says to be honest

Re: Top 10 Championship players.

Don't think these lists are particularly thought out to be honest. Just something some journo on a site which is 99% focussed on the prem put together in a lunch hour. Think the editor is a Huddersfield fan and they tend to get a bit of a presence because of that, but most other clubs ignored totall...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday (A) Predictions

strangely also I think we may win this one. More confident about this than Preston If we can stop Weds scoring early I think they may get very nervous. With the sums of money they have spent and after just missing out last season, there is a lot of pressure on them, and they have had some poor resul...

Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

Those were funded by losing Tish and Norwood though before the Season though

The fact Brighton and villa massively overpaid for them is irrelevant

I don't think we are comparing to Burton, but I reckon we've spent less than most other sides in the division

Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

2) In the background I could see Preston using high lux lighting rigs to encourage grass growth on their pitch. Maybe we ought to be doing that? Probably due to the fact sunlight is an alien concept in that part of the world Noticed on the Hull highlights last night their pitch is as awful as ours....

Re: Rival Watch

Us, Sheffield Weds and Leeds have similar run ins. Prob Weds have the hardest due to hose dour northern derbys they have away from home. I reckon they'll be the team to miss out to be honest. I didn't think much of them when they came to us. Pressure is really on them on Friday - a defeat would be d...

Hence why I said poor/injured/unused - he falls into the injured category

Finally got round to watching the highlIghts. Just frustrating individual errors for each - the second particularly a right mess. Two players tripping each other over, and the scabby horrible finish from their player

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Definitely one of the biggest concerns is how ineffective the loan signings &Popa/Ilori have been. Thought they'd add the bit of quality to get us over the line, but they have been poor/injured/unused

Coupled with Swift and Kelly losing form, Jaap has a problem to solve

Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

We only really have Weds and Leeds of the top sides left to play and both are very beatable - but I don't really fancy our chances at villa or Norwich either.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

I'm not massively fussed about promotion this year but missing out on the play offs would be a kick in the teeth after being top 4 most of the season
