Re: Stam is doing this deliberately.

I believe Stam will go on to be a good manager, who plays attractive winning football. Just not with Reading. I have no problem with him using us a stepping stone either (95% of managers do this, the like of Jose, Wenger Guardioloa etc all had to start somewhere). I also believe Stam will learn fro...

Re: What was the single biggest mistake we made this season?

Obita got injured after the window ended didn't he? In hindsight we've really struggled at LB but if Obita had been fit it wouldn't have been an issue I think the biggest mistake in hindsight was trusting that Yann would come back and hit the ground running and play as he did last year. So as an ext...

Re: The only course of action now...

apparently the squad are off to Spain for a bit of warm weather training

would have to think that would suggest there is little chance of Stam getting the boot this week, but I think we are expected that anyway.

Forest game is absolutely massive. Lets hope the break does them all some good

Re: The only course of action now...

If there was a single aspect to our play that had improved from last season, or even this season, I’d be happy to give him a chance to learn from his mistakes We are worse in everything we do Hi Hound. Mate, that is simply NOT TRUE. Last year we got some pummellings like 7-1, 5-0. This year we have...

... They have been much better when Swift and Evans, but especially Swift, have been available.... Crickey. Swift. The epitomy of turn up for 5 minutes in a 90 minute game. Twin brother of Aluko - mr turn up for 4 minutes of 90 minute game. If you're expecting Swift to be our saviour, I fear you ma...

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

I think we’ll stay up. Not by a great deal, but I think we’ll manage it. I think we have just enough ability in the squad, and I’m maybe foolishly banking on Swift giving us a boost when he comes back. A couple of injury free good games from him could make the difference That’s not saying the threat...

Bolton and Brum are picking up plenty of points

I think Burton and Barnsley are probably dropping. That third place is very much up for grabs

Re: The only course of action now...

Obvs don’t know what goes on at the training ground etc, but we look badly coached this year. As first team coach, not sure Gilkes is the answer Agree - never came across as the sharpest tool in the box when he was a player when interviewed, was very surprised when he was appointed coach. I think a...

Too many of you are soft soppy cnuts to bring any banners or chant Stam out. If we are losing our next home game v Derby we need to be loud and really make ourselves heard Rather than just abuse people on here why don’t you go along to the next game and start something up? Then you’ll see if people...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by a neat finish from Paul Holsgrove

Looking at the highlights, the way we lost the ball for their second goal was comical. 2-1 flattered us, that could easily have been another Norwich away. We looked a shambles on the highlights. The lead up to the (awful) penalty decision summed us right up I know it’s been noted before, but why is...
