Re: Clement

tbf, along with maybe Arsenal, Reading would be about the best club for an EB to make their status known. Sure he'd get full support from the fans, and the meathead ratio is very low. The old boys would probably not understand, and its not an issue for the young kids coming to watch

Oh dear. Almost as poor as some of the comments about that ‘being football’

What exactly was he trying to achieve?

Re: Clement

Agreed on McShane. Really liked him in his first season here and also in Stam’s year one

Really been poor since. Be a good signing for someone like Charlton though

Always enjoy SCIAGs academy posts

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

How did Rinomhota look? Where did he play in the midfield and can he tackle? Right hand side of a narrow midfield triangle (Bacuna on the left, Kelly at the base of the triangle) Yes, put in a good few tackles. Also took a yellow to break up an attack. Looked very composed. Didn't create much, but ...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

We’ve been decent in spells this year. First half performances against Blackburn, Brum, Forest, West Brom and Derby really should have earned us more than 1 point

But that’s part of what makes it a little depressing

Re: Clement

Tbf to Ilori though, we certainly don’t look any more reliable at the back with him out of the side Thought O Shea looked decent enough saturday but is very much a short term option. Wouldn’t argue with him coming back in McShane and O'Shea are both much of a muchness, and neither a satisfactory up...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

It comes down to attitude at this stage of their careers as they clearly have ability. I liked the look of Kuhl, just after a few apps he decided that he was footballing god that had everything already. Tshibola was a strange one, had decent spells everywhere till his move to Villa ruined him. Hope...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Talk Reading has the Loader and House goals clips

The two Loader goals - great finishes. Looks real quality. Must be knocking on the door of the first team squad pretty hard

Re: Clement

Yep was thinking that myself, that form hasn’t been too dreadful recently. Beat Ipswich and would be 9 points from 15 in this run of games, though 3 pretty easy hone games in that

On the other hand, lose to Ipswich and we’ll be in the bottom 3 with a very tough month of games to follow

Re: Clement

Always thought Clement sees the basic issues pretty well. He can see Aluko is shite, McShane is a liability and our midfield is lightweight He certainly tried to address the midfield issue with Meyler and Eza, and has been unfortunate with their form/injury Agree the mentality is the main thing hold...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

So 2 for both House and Loader Would be happy to see either or both getting game time in the first 11 with Bod and maybe Meite out Loader wouldn’t be a replacement for Bod/Meite, he’s a completely different type of player. In our current side he’d do the job Baldock does (or maybe Swift when he’s p...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

It’s not just the number of injuries. Ezatolahi really struck me as being the player we need, and exactly what we are missing. Quite possibly the most impt player in the side Bod breaking his back is very poor news, but Meite is similar and we have plenty of other forward options. None of the other ...
