Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

not nec if phrased the right way. Just expanding on his point of asking the fans to always support the players, and if they are frustrated then it should be him who they boo etc. I don't know how you make it clear that you're booing a manager - it's not like you can boo every time he touches the ba...

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

What Stam isn't good at is 'playing the game' with the fans. He may be spot on with his assessments, but it would make things a lot better for everyone if he forgot himself for a moment and said what the fans want to hear. He can call the fans whatever he wants behind closed doors, but it would hel...

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

those quotes in full https://www.inyourarea.co.uk/news/stam-says-reading-fc-fans-are-giving-the-wrong-message-to-players/ Stam said: "I don't pay any notice to the fans because even when we were doing well last season they were negative so it's nothing new. "Nobody is happy with the situat...

Re: FA Youth Cup U18 - Colchester United vs. Reading FC

The bit I did manage to watch, we were totally outclassing them

Suppose not a huge suprise considering the difference in levels of the club

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

Tbf, the quotes are still not exactly in context on IYA. Difficult to tell tone etc as well, but it would be nice to hear a ‘fans are impt, lets all stick together’ type message instead FWIW, wouldn’t be upset to see Stam go, but likewise not sure too much to be gained from it at this point in time....

Re: Callum Harriott

feel sorry for him. Obvs really damaged his hamstring badly first time round. Probably trying to play when the weather is sub-zero is really not going to help him. Should concentrate on next season now

Tshibola would also count in that 5 years. He was a first teamer before we robbed Villa of £5m for him

Re: Club announces new manager!

Its difficult to know quite where BT quite fits into the scheme of things. Gourlay is becoming more of the mouthpiece for the club, but BT still seems to have a big say in transfers When the club talk about its footballing policy, I'm not really sure where this is coming from. Likewise, its not rea...

He has been held back for various games as well - ie didn't play in the U23 Norwich game so he could play last night

I think its been a little patchy - but partly because he plays in the other age groups as well.

Re: Club announces new manager!

always love the way fans can decide what the ideal weight of a professional footballer should be. like the club don't have any fitness coaches, personal trainers etc. But fans viewing from 50 metres away can make that judgement through his football shirt etc I very much doubt he is overweight, just ...

Re: FA Youth Cup U18 - Colchester United vs. Reading FC

think we've seen with Richards, these lads can make the step up if given the opportunity

Loader looks a pretty big lad - I reckon he could handle a few games. I'd certainly be looking to have him on the bench. Reckon he could do a job paired with Martin or Dadi for 30 mins at the end of a game
