Re: CONFIMRED - Modou Barrow

Swans supporting mate reckons he'll be good in the Championship. 'Somewhat inconsistent and not the best end product' but that's generally the difference between a Premier League and Championship winger. From what I've seen of him (admittedly not much), I'm quite optimistic about this signing. I kno...

Re: Rumour - David Button

Anyone got a Brentford supporting mate who can give a decent low down on Mr Button FWIW He was actually a good keeper for us whilst here, ended up leaving because he didn’t fancy a bit of competition when we signed Bentley. Really good shot stopper, not so good at kicking – both from the floor and ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11714/10944517/new-football-kits-championship-strips-for-the-201718-season all of the other championships teams kits for this season. Ours sadly not in there yet. Middlesboro is my vote for the worst, with Sunderland closely behind (which is worrying consideri...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fulham (h) sponsored by whoever's got the bottle

Massively nervous already. Would be really worried with Obita missing out, possibly his best ever performance on Saturday. As others have suggested, you would assume Tiago at CB and Blackett shifting over to the left. Would like to see Kelly come in but wouldn't want to drop Evans or Williams so tha...

Re: Royal Elm Park

I wouldn't say meaningless Nameless. If the consent is implemented there is scope to build a large extension to the stadium. Yes, the drawings may be revisited and a new application submitted but the fact that a live consent is in place will essentially render any objections to the stadium expansion...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Yep, I’m with you now and agreed. I would expect the offsite provision will come in the form of a couple of large cheques at various milestones in the development. Possibly 25%, 50% and 75% occupation of private units. All in all I think it’s quite exciting and positive for the club / town as a whol...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Apologies if I've misinterpreted your response nameless but there will still be a requirement for some affordable housing provision. Surprised it's only 10% and they're allowing it off-site though. There must be a fairly solid viability argument behind that so the construction costs must be very hig...

Re: Royal Elm Park

I wouldn't say the Sport England comments will have much of an effect on things. Especially as Barton Willmore (the Planning Consultant) seem to have provided a fairly in depth response to the objection. Summary: - The site is largely a car park with the dome being the only playing pitch which will ...

Re: 2011/12 SEASON BETTING THREAD

Have been on a good run this week.. Had the remaining £3 in my 365 account on 3 – 1 Huddersfield, Nakhi Wells anytime gs in the ultimate Judas bet. Returned c£70 – first win in ages. Put a £10 on Dortmund, Shakhtar, Liverpool and Bilbao to win (9/1) and cashed out for £57 thirty minutes in shortly a...

Have a fiver down on an ambitious 700/1 fivefold with a combination of BTTS & BTTS/Full time result for this evenings kick offs in Ligue 1 and 2.

This one’s for you PTR.

Re: 10 games ago

It’s all my fault. In a discussion with a Villa fan down the pub I went into confidence overdrive (which never happens) and stated that we would win the league or at the very least go up. The next game was Fulham away. I sincerely apologise and have since reverted to my pessimistic default setting. ...

Pepe the Horseman Luis Enrique now 8/1 with Sky Bet. Lol at people betting on him thinking it's Oscar Garcia.

Re: Steve Clarke Sacked

Shame how it all went really but SC only has himself to blame IMO. I, like most (?), was optimistic when he first came in but this run of form/awful performances teamed with the Fulham debacle totally obliterated any confidence I once had - amazing the difference a couple of months makes! Bye Clarke...
