Re: The squad in July

Are all U21's except for those in the list out of contract? Need to tie the likes of Senga down Senga has one year to the best of my knowledge. As does Carson and Giscombe Holzman is 2025. Loads unknown, Clarke, Stickland, Kanu, Osorio, Scott, Craig, Ehibhatiomhan, Clarke, Melvin-Lambert for exampl...

Re: Rumour - Macaulay Langstaff

I’ve seen him a couple of times this season and he’s looked decent. He’s not the biggest but his movement is excellent. I think Van Veen at Motherwell could also be someone we could look at. van Veen's having an excellent season but his goalscoring record, which is primarily at league 2 level or eq...

Re: New manager poll

Bowen has an important job to do in his current role, don't want to move that. Hope, if we stay up, we'd look at the likes of the following (not in order) alongside Hunt: Neil Critchley Leam Richardson Justin Cochrane Whoever doesn't go up of: Steven Schumacher Darren Moore Kieran McKenna Mikey Duff...

I looked at the new STAR board a few weeks back and thought it was you who was newly elected. Then today I Was reading your tweets about flares and that confirmed my thinking and your new posi...

Re: Catering outside Stadium

Seriously what is going on with the Catering. No burgers again serving SJM Stand. An excellent steward allowed us to go outside the gates and around the back towards the north stand to use the burger stand which was at SJM - to go there to find there were no queues. Unheard of at halftime. Surely t...

Re: Ince to Cardiff

Personally think Ince had a decent managerial record before he came to Reading. He started at Macclesfield as player manager in October 2006, at the time Macclesfield were 7 points adrift at the foot of what is now league 2 (so 92nd out of 92 league clubs). After a slow start he guided them to safe...

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

Maybe. Good to know that any of the staff, not just the manager, can ask for their son and son's best friend to be given 3 year deals then. Anyway, Jake Cooper's nephew seems to be at the front of the young CB queue now, travelled with the first team ahead of Stickland, Dorsett and Abbey. Wonder wh...

Believe Gilkes is the overall head of the Academy. Hunt in charge of the U23s and transitioning those to the first team. Ledge co-runs U18s. Interesting to see where Antoine Thompson from Cheltenham fits into that Academy structure. https://www.ctfc.com/news/2022/july/academy-director-antoine-thomp...

Re: Rumour - Rob Dickie

Stacey was in the process of evolving into a right back when he left, he wasn’t playing on the wing but was no where ready to be a starting full back. I believe he also chose to leave, turning down a contract to stay because he knew he needed to get games and wouldn’t be a starter for us. In, I thi...

Re: Rumour - Alexandre Mattos

All we want is a sensible DoF, who believes in detailed scouting, getting the right sort of person as well as player, and believes in improving recruits through coaching. They can spend big if they need, but within these principles. This guy may be a good fit; we know nothing about him to judge eit...

Sutekh He’s apparently going act as an “executive” for Reading, Roeslaere and the 2 clubs in China owned by Mr Yongge

https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/foot ... g-17519068

Which is a bit weird. Who is our second Chinese club?
