Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

How to cover an U 18 semi-final match- lesson 1 from Man City https://www.mancity.com/news/academy/match-report/2020/february/reading-u-18s-v-city-u18s-pl-cup-semi-final-15-feb It's almost like Citeh have got more resources available to cover such things than we do. No excuse. If the club had any s...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

They are also one of the wealthiest clubs in the world who probably have a whole team dedicated to U-18 social media. You’re not comparing apples with apples. Yes Reading probably should do a better job but don’t use a Man City shaped stick to beat them with. Probably do better !!! You are having a...

One interesting* stat. Yesterday marked our 11th win this season. The first time we have managed to hit that mark since the play off season under Stam

Re: BFTG Wednesday (A)

Our away form has been excellent under Bowen. We lost 4 of the first 6 on the road this season. Bristol seeing the back of Gomes. Since that game in October, Millwall is our only defeat.
Apart from Brentford
Ah yep missed that. Still pretty good.

Re: BFTG Wednesday (A)

I've got a tip for Wednesday... if you don't want to lose and have players sent off, try having some decent attempts to score - 3 on target and nothing much of real threat I can recall - a couple of delightful crosses to empty patches of pitch I suppose - and foul slightly less obviously and cynica...

Not winning an appeal would also mean they have broken Premier League FFP and would face a points deduction https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city-banned-champions-league-premier-points-uefa-fair-play-a9336946.html 9 pt deduction isn't it in the PL unless they a...

genome It'll go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport I expect

And probably have FFP ruled an unfair constraint on trade or some such bollocks

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Seems strange.. Why? Not going to play in the first team and the League of Ireland isn't a bad standard. Their season only starts this weekend so means they can play 1st team football at a decent level through the summer. John O'Shea has strong Waterford connections so wouldn't send anyone over the...

Hendo As per Twitter:

Seems strange..

They hinted that John O'Shea had some influence.

Found this article which has an interview with O'Shea - he was definitely involved:

Re: BFTG - Baggies

Shouldn’t have given him a new contract really. I’m not sure how we’ve dropped away so badly. Ejaria and Swift have been appalling and our midfield has been pretty much the root of the issue. How does giving him 12 extra months cause any real difference. It'll cost us next to nothing to remove him ...

Unless we go on an amazing run soon I suspect we maybe looking for a new manager this summer..... The owners surely cant ignore an empty stadium, sh*t football and looking over our shoulder in the league season after season as it now appears. Shouldn’t have given him a new contract really. I’m not ...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

Agreed, we have had an horrendous run of games, anybody with half a brain knew it would be difficult, just get the next two out of the way then we should be fine, if we did get dragged back into the mix down the bottom then the fans would have a right to moan, not the meltdown to losing to the best...

Crap performance bar a 20 min spell in the 2nd half. No desire to push for the 2nd once we were ahead. We gifted them both goals but they could have had more. . Generally agree, but did they actually have many chances? The only ones I can really think of were during that awful 15 min spell in the 2...

Old Man Andrews If the lino has flagged Puscas offside for interfering in play then he deserves nothing other than execution.

That's certainly what it was ruled off for.

Flag only went up the moment Meite headed it. Pretty certain he flagged Meite.

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h) sponsored by Neil Clement

Snowflake Royal Missed our goal, but Puscas has been a total passenger again from what I've seen.

He's done very well from the tiny scraps he's been given. Happy with his performance tonight.
