Re: Spurs predictions

http://www.tottenhamhotspur-mad.co.uk/feat/ed11/now_or_never_757637/index.shtml? Whether they (the players) agree with the tactics used, whether they argee with the manager in general, they are PAID to do a job. I expect to see a comfortable win this Sunday and anything less is a complete farce. Com...

Re: When was your first Reading game?

Southport away at Haigh Avenue. Late 70's/early 80's. Not sure when they went out of the league off hand, must of been very close to it being their last season. Could have been 0-0 or even a loss, memory isn't what it used to be blah blah. There was a 1-1 up there in 77/78, which was their last sea...

Re: Justice For The 96

It's not a very popular opinion but I'm very much in the mindset of Ideal and NFA. Valid point by Wax Jacket here too... I've got quite a few mates from the NW; Liverpool fans and those loosely connected. It seems everyone knows someone up that way linked to it. I've tried asking that point before b...

Re: Who should we get? The generic 2012/13 speculation threa

Do you mean striker or defender? Applies on both counts [Morrison/Hunt], unless we are pushing others down the pecking order. Which then asks whether there are other players that can play in other areas and adequately fill in, like when Cisse had his blinder at CB at Man U. Who else can cover CB as ...

Tony Evans the football editor at The Times has just tweeted this about the start of the findings of the report.

First news trickling out and it's ugly. Blood taken from bodies to test for alcohol. If none, they checked for criminal records.

Re: Who should we get? The generic 2012/13 speculation threa

I can see in January us looking at the left back, left wing [backup], central attacking midfielder and striker positions, with maybe one or two coming in. Unless we're doing a Derby there won't be any wholesale changes. Generally squad depth seems ok to me, but looking at teams in / around us it doe...

Re: When was your first Reading game?

I always think when this thread rolls round that we could produce a good book "A Fans Guide to Reading FC", given all the anecdotes over the years about specific games. And with the likes of Ark and some of the older posters we could get a good historical element to it too Same; Or a site...

Re: REFWATCH: Reading v Tottenham Hotspur

Awesome display in the game against Cardiff, if only he'd reffed the final :( Slightly bad omen that he oversaw that pitiful 1-0 defeat to Spurs last time out... Good ref. We seem to do well when we have him against teams from the North West, lost both against London teams. Be great if we can have ...

Re: The new kids views

Likewise we have no physical budget. The limitations are ensuring that we retain sustainability in both fees and wages - whilst on that side no upsetting the status quo. If we can get players like Pogrebnyak, McCleary and Guthrie in without shelling out on a fee we'd be stupid not to. If the club ca...

Re: The new kids views

I'd have Rodriguez, Clyne and Ramirez, never mind Lambert and Lallana, straight in the Reading side. Rodriguez? Really? I'd have Pogrebnyak on his own, or with Roberts over him. He isn't half the player Long was when we sold him. I'm quite happy with Pog/Roberts/Hunt as the main 3. Ramirez, ok, com...
