Re: Beer

WRT your personal experience, can you really hand on heart tell me none of these are a loss :?:

I mourn every pub closure. Well, there might be one or two exceptions but near enough.

Re: Beer

To be fair, as far as I can tell most of the pubs that close are shit ones no one goes to, so I'm not sure that's a major issue. This is a bit of a myth, I suspected perpetuated by people who don't visit pubs all that often. As a starter for 10, The Catford Bridge Tavern (South East London CAMRA pu...

Re: Beer

Also a sign at how mainstream real ale has now become. Hats off to the tireless efforts of CAMRA. We can't get complacent though Green. Now is not the time to rest on our laurels. Indeed Stuka, indeed. Pub closures are arguably a bigger threat now - but our friends in St Albans are on the case.

Re: Beer

I don't often say it but absolute fair fvcks to the club here.

I'd be interested to hear fellow supporter's experience WRT it's availability and queues.

I think the issue is that the home fans have the same experience.

Re: West London Clubs

Have you seen the queues for buses and taxis after the game?

I don't often agree with Kes but he's bang on the money here.

Re: West London Clubs

Worth mentioning the hooligan problems at Yeading.

Matchday sees scores of fans on the Kingshill Avenue chanting "We're Yeading, we're Yeading, we'll kick your fooking head in". And they would, too.

Re: Safe-Standing petition

Dunno if I'm one of these people "getting carried away", but what I liked about the terracing was being able to stand where you liked (negating the need to book six weeks in advance so you could sit next to your mate who has a ST), the surge of the crowd, the tightly packed crowd for a bi...

Re: Safe-Standing petition

It all kind've makes sense, its just that stigma that has to be gotten over......believe me, i am on nobodies side here. I agree and I'm also on the fence. I think it's a desperate shame that all seater stadia were enforced on us, it's killed the game I loved. On the other hand, this safe standing ...

Re: Safe-Standing petition

Not much consolation when you're hit in the face with a firework, or have to listen to racist chanting. so you believe fans, if allowed to stand rather than sit, would become more racist and more like to bring flares into the ground? There's been a much greater tolerance of standing in Y25/Y26 of l...

Re: Safe-Standing petition

I guess it's the nonsense that goes with it tmses.

Say what you like about all seater stadia but the game is a more middle class affair as a result of it.
