Funny how Shorey's so-called poor form has coincided with Convey's absence and the inclusion of Hunt. He got forward and looked much better on Tuesday. And had his best game of the season (do any of those who wish to have his babies want to disagree with this assessment :? ) today with Hunt returni...

Re: Steve Sidwell

Interview on Gillette Soccer Saturday....... same old crap about his contract. The panel think he's a oxf*rd for thinking he's better than he is and not signing a new contract as he is a regular in a mid table team and isn't good enough to play week in week out every game at a big club. Couldn't ag...

From what I've seen when Murty has been out injured we'd be playing in next season's Championship for sure had he missed most of this campaign..........................I'd take Hughes over all deputies I've seen so far. What about Chris Makin? A by far better full back than all of them including Hu...

I don't have anti-Shorey stance, find an anti Shorey thread I've started. Like most of his team mates, he's having a very good season but those above who suggest that he'se been blameless for just about every goal conceded down our left (many of the same posters being quick to blame Hunt instead) co...

My only vendetta is against the pathetic favouritsm that surrounds one or 2 players. Shorey didn't have a good game yesterday in defence or attack and this time his fan club can't blame Stephen Hunt. Woody - you are so predictable, come on change the record. The reason why the likes of Shorey, Conv...

If only all our players got the same breaks as Nicky Shorey, who no one is allowed to criticize. Why not leap to Sonko or Hunt's defence as they were named as scapegoats in the posts above that went to great lengths to defend Shorey? When you've read all the other threads where I praise Sonko for j...

Quite, from the day little Nicky entered the world he's lived a faultless life and anyone who suggests otherwise is a complete plank. Despite being caught out of position on a number of occasions , he has been blameless for every goal conceded down our left hand side and remains the most 2 footed pl...

Reading play a formation the encourages the full backs to get forward to support the wingers, from time to time they will get caught out in the process. Hope this helps. really ?? So instead of quoting, do have any views or is that shorey is the next in line for some of your easy quoting??? ...

Re: What the papers say: Chelsea

Does seem a rather biased report. Enjoy the Daily Mail one then! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=424825&in_page_id=1779 How can people buy that rag? Nobody was hurt yesterday, Steve Coppell’s decision to leave Stephen Hunt on the bench removing...

Well, let's face it, everything short of "Nicky walks on water" never fails to shock his fan club but, back on planet earth, no one has been more missed this season than Murts, who is regularly our best full back.

Strengthen if you can now and hope that Coppell doesn't go down the route of only signing squad players in the summer like Pardew did because next season will be tough as teams will know how to play you. One can't help but wonder if, possibly, Al took his eye of the ball whilst engaging in the kind...

Cards. Chest. Close to. Situation normal. Spot on. I think we should all be wise to JM's protestations by now. I don't believe for one minute that there are not substantial funds available to Steve Coppell but, as the transfer window approaches, yet again we have the kind of talk that suggests to p...

I don't have time to read the whole thread but isn't it odd that Steve Sidwell doesn't feature in the top 100 whereas, Marcus "let's see if I can remove that guy's head in Row "A" Hahnemann does :?

Re: Forty points doesn’t guarantee anything.

Forty points, not far to go now, but remember, forty points represents statistical safety NOT absolute safety. Thanks for clearing that up  Quite. My 1970's Maths has been struggling with this calculation for quite sometime (having been deprived of the wonderful educational standards availabl...
