Re: BFTT Leeds

Sigh. I can't fault the effort of the players at all today. Everyone put in a gut busting performance but if you do that you sacrifice quality on the ball at times and unfortunately it showed. Although Bowen had successfully set us up to frustrate Leeds, we were absolutely abysmal going forward. Our...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Academy Manager Ged Roddy has left.

Not sure what to make of it but Jlow will hopefully shed some light tomorrow.

Re: BFTG - Luton

We were actually very good today against a side above us in the table, we made them look ordinary. Great goals and we could of had more, no last 20min hanging on, we dominated what looked like a relegation side. I have to say Bowen had worked out how to play a 4-4-2 diamond and Luton had no answer....

Harsh on Pele so I can only assume he has a knock. The others were expected.

Re: BFTG Preston (H)

Where do I start. Tactics.. Bowen clearly wants us to be more direct. We went long whenever there was an opportunity to go for it. I have no issue with this. We are still very lightweight in the centre and it was evident Preston knew this. We definitely need to play Rino in there when he's healthy a...

Re: Next Manager

We won't see this kind of rubbish once we're rid of gourlay Feel very uneasy about this. Internal appointments worked with Pardew and McDermott because they understood the club and knew the players. Bowen is fresher than Gomes and has no managerial experience. Could be proven wrong; if so great. Al...

Re: Next Manager

Just throwing another random name in. Sol Campbell. Pulled off the great escape with Macclesfield who looked doomed for the National League. If you read his interview with the shit he had to cope with there he did an absolutely smashing job and certainly got the respect from the players. Not saying...

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

As Reading still haven't announced a new manager here is your opportunity to pitch for the job. What formation would you play (a different one for home and away matches perhaps)? Which players would you drop and why? Are there any of the exiled players you would reinstate or anyone you want to prom...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Well, here we are. I did say anything but a win or a draw and a good performance will be the end of him. Shame really. The next manager can not be another nice guy now. After hearing we once again have groups/rifts forming in the squad (again I said this would happen with a big squad and the way Jos...

Re: BFTG Bristol

Why the hell is Meite getting a good rating?! Too many games this season he's missed the chances he should be scoring because he's made the wrong decision or doesn't think. It does my nut in he's getting plaudits for running and being strong. Even Gooding has been having a go at Meite recently. He's...

A draw and a good performance or a win to save his job. Jose Gomes has 1 last chance before we fire another manager during another international break. ................. . Rafa............... Re: BFT ???????????????????????????????????????????

I haven't done one of these for a while but I will resume my normal format of each half analysis followed by player ratings. 1st Half. Fulhams runs from deep combined with their wide players cutting in were causing absolute havoc for us. As good as Swift and Ejaria are they are not defensively good ...

Re: Phil Parkinson is waiting.

IF Gomes goes any time soon, Parky would still be towards the top of my list of replacements. No reason to think Gomes is going anywhere for a while though. SJM can't afford us and is getting dangerously close to losing the plot territory though. I love Parky. He was one of favourite players back i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a) sponsored by Glen Little

Here's my predicted 11. Nova is in Holland discussing a move to PEC Zwolle according to Windermere Royal so I've left him out. I think Blackett is still injured too. I don't think we will risk 3 CBs this game so I believe a change in formation will happen too. ................. Rafael............. ....

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Andrija Novakovich is in talks with PEC Zwolle. He was in the crowd for their 2-2 draw with Sparta today As much as I feel sorry for him and hoped he would get the opportunity he's been patiently waiting for, I'm glad he's going to be playing a decent level somewhere else. The poor lad has not been...
