Re: Leeds v RFC Back from the Tele

Just got back in the house. Fairly secent game almost broke out in the last 20mins. Thought the whole defence were very good today. Was surprised Aluko went off before McCleary as he was having a decent game. Leeds fans around me weren't happy with the ref at all. Although most of that seemed to ste...

Re: Thames Valley Whites (Leeds United Supporters Club)

So you didn't take to the Yorkshire warmth and straight talking. As someone that's lived in Leeds for the last 20 years I'd say that Yorkshire warmth isn't always immediately evident to people without a Yorkshire accent. Yes its generally friendlier than riding the tube in rush hour London but its ...

Kitsondinho Not paying £57 for me and Kits Jnr 1 + 2 to be shouted at by angry northerners.......we can get that for free at the end of our street!

+1 - was going thinking of taking Jnr II to his first match but given how exciting our games are at the moment he can wait a bit longer.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Time to add Sampson to your death list I reckon. The FA appear to have chucked him under the nonce/sex offender bus based on their statement about his time at the Bristol academy. Will it be suicide or pedalo vigilante squad?

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Huddersfield's loss will undoubtedly be Bradford and Halifax's gain. Not sure it will make that much difference. Bradford's reputation was better than Huddersfield's anyway (based on what my colleague tells me, her son having bounced around most of the academies in the area). Man City seem to be ab...

Glenn Hoddle doing the England games is almost making me wish Andy Townsend was brought back.

Re: Next England Manager

MC Grinder What's the problem with the transition to the national team that make players look average?

Or they are just average at international level and its highlighted without their much better foreign clubmates to make them look good.

Seems plausible given the Keita transfer has been reported for next July.

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

What's the wording of the rule? Technically he didn't go into the crowd did he, didn't even get as far as the advertising boards. The fans were the ones encroaching. Or does it come under 'inciting' the fans. ALOL at the steward claiming he was assaulted by Aguero somehow forgetting that there were ...

tbf I glanced at the photos from Saturday's game and thought that it was nice to have a decent kit for a change. Then I remembered we were away.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Take £150M for Coutinho and waft some of it in Spurs' direction to tempt Alli away would be my advice. Spend whatever's left over on rescuing Gylfi from South Wales and some kind of a left back.

Re: Penalty Shoot Outs

They've been trialling this recently haven't they, can't remember which tournament it was in. It was fine other than I'd been flicking channels so missed the bit between end of extra time and being of penalties where they probably explained it so was a bit wtf when a team took two in a row. Which ma...

There was lovely footage, that I'm too lazy to find, where all the players had to shake Ronnie's hand as they walked past him as part of that whole shaking hands with refs and opposition thing.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Mooy to Hudds for £8M That's a lot of money for them to spend and not actually improve their squad. He was their main man last year when on loan. If they didn't sign him their squad would've been significantly weaker and its a signing with no real risk as they know exactly what they're signing. The...

Re: The generic transfer thread

double d Cabellero to Chelsea to Man City. Could pave the way for Courtous to go to Athletico or Real.

Or maybe, just maybe, he's gone there as backup as they sold Begovic to Bournemouth.
