Re: New GK

As it's a Friday afternoon and I'm in a generous mood, I'll agree to disagree on this one. There. How's that?

Re: New GK

From Despair To Where? Brice Samba? I'd rather have Rafael back.

Me too. And I am one of Rafael's biggest critics.

My god he was utter shite

Re: Reasons to be hopeful?

A club with no money, with their two best players about to leave, who only just avoided relegation last time, with very few players contracted for the new season, relying on a scouting network that doesn't yet exist to bring in new players... it would be quite a brave pundit to tip us not to go dow...

Re: Rival Watch

Agree with the views on Bury. They always struck me as a decent club who never seemed to be badly run. As soon as they hit trouble nothing was done to help them Without knowing enough of the finer details, how was it allowed to happen? In layman's terms? And how come no one has gone after Steve Dal...

Re: 2022/2023 Season Tickets

Signed up for next season. The bit that convinced me was that Aldersh*t are charging £340 for the privilege of watching the drivel they serve up.

Re: Reasons to be hopeful?

Ryan Dilks, Justin Peach, Don Goodman and Andy Hinchliffe. Dilks comes across as hating Reading (no idea why) as he was v. negative about us all of last season Dilks is a clown and not a pundit. Just some geek bedroom podcaster who has never played a second of football at any level, therefore his o...

Re: Rival Watch

Snowflake Royal The oxf*rd kept pretending Fulham had scored to send us down at their place, cheered when it actually happened and then tried to give out to us as we clapped our players.

oxf*rd em.

Will never forget their conduct coming out of Pride Park in '06

Re: Ex Players

Coppells Lost Coat I am inclined to say Tish as well......i think he left too early and career has faulted ever since. There is a good player in there still.

One of the most overrated players ever to put on a Reading shirt.

Tish by name...!

Re: The Non - League thread

National league play-off final next Sunday at the London stadium Adult tickets will cost £40-£45( plus booking fee) !!!!!! Real shame. I was half considering going down to this as I'd like to tick off the London Stadium and this would be the last live game for a while but not after seeing that. I w...

Re: New GK

Yeah true. They may not all get announced before the departures, as I can imagine we are in for a few players who have contracts running out at the end of June. There was a Portuguese goalkeeper who we were linked with whose contract was out at the end of June, I can't remember his name of who he p...

Re: Out of Contract 2022

He was just not rated as good enough to be #1. Last thing VP did was replace him with Hein. Hein gets injured and instead of backing Southwood, Ince signs another keeper. He's not quite Champ standard at the mo, may well be in a couple of years but probably needs a move to a decent L1 club. Have to...

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Pepe the Horseman Not out of contract, but Southwood has apparently been told to find a new club.

He's been treated appallingly since the turn of the year.

Maybe an opportunity at Wycombe, given David Stockdale's age/performance in the playoff final?

Hound Yeah that really. If it was Leicester of course go for it, but not a team who have the squad which is far superior to almost any other team in Europe

Leicester are a great club?

Re: Ex Players

Thought the last season he was here he was absolutely nailing it under Clarke, but like the rest of the team just totally fell apart as the season went on. Can’t say I was disappointed when he moved but was obvs then superb a season or two down the line for Sheff U (he didn’t pull up any trees for ...

Re: Reasons to be hopeful?

The elastic has broken. The gulf runs through the football pyramid. Quality of the football in the Championship worsens every year. As any half decent player is bought up and loaned out. When one Man City player's wages are one and half times our entire playing squad budget for a season. You know i...

Re: Ex Players

URZZZZ Did like the suggestion mind that Norwood wasn’t a loss because both Evans and Kelly were better players. Time has really nullified that claim

Norwood is the absolute business.
