Re: Injury watch 2021/22

My suggestion wasn't really an either or. However, if we can't do that, we're flushing £1.75m down the same toilet Yes I meant yours or my other suggestion sorry - ie we just loan out and still pay him Ah, ok Sorry if I came across a bit narky No worries, was my rubbish unclear posting that was the...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Best I think we can hope for is : He finds a club offering £15k per week (so not necessarily a parachute payment club, but still likely) We pay up the remaining £20k per week (c£1m) in advance at the time of transfer, saving us the £750k Transfer fee - I don't think so Basically, yes one of the abo...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Not on 35k a week they won’t Possible he’ll get a 2-3 year deal somewhere on vastly reduced wages but still can’t see that In his current circumstance can’t see any way in which he’ll give up any of the last year of his bumper contract If we end up paying only 50% of that we’ll have done very well....

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

I’d be very surprised if we don’t end up loaning him out and playing a large percentage of his wage still. Any saving is a bonus, v much doubt we’ll get any fee for him

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

andrew1957 I see Liam Moore is now injured for the rest of the season. Our players even get injured whilst out on loan. What a season?

Impressive stuff. So doubt he’ll be moving there this summer

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Firstly, this is post is utter cringe and secondly I know Ince is your latest victim, didn’t take long, but he’s actually been decent and committed from performances I am witnessing. That post is tongue in cheek you humourless gimp. I know you can’t stand me and are thick as mince, but I'd apprecia...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

New defender to go with the new goalie signed the other week, a player on loan from Chelsea, Tom Ince and Andy Carroll for 5 months . Embargo my arse. Can we have our centre half back who we had to give to Stoke please- the ones who've just been allowed a 180 million FFP get out of jail free card. ...

Re: Next Reading Manager

I'll still stick with my original opinion about wanting someone else to come in and to just shake hands with Ince. If he does an unbelievable job between now and the end of the season, my opinion may change if he seems right for the club. If he ends up doing what his remit is, keeping us up, then j...

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Grabban was difficult to judge due to Stam’s somewhat bizarre use of him I think all signings are a bit of a gamble to be honest - no doubts we’ve made plenty of signings who seem to fit the bill of the right profile that have also turned out to be useless Obviously ideally when splashing out the so...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Prob not just keeping us up. If we stay up only because Barnsley and co have shocking runs then it’d be a no He’s implemented some good things. How much is just an obvious undoing of some of Pauno’s shitness is open to debate though But yeah I quite like him personally. Seems to have a good rapport ...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Noticed Azeez training on the little tv interview thing Ince did. Not that there is an obvious place in the squad for him at the moment but worse case may be a bit of cover for Joao

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Solely on who I think would make the best CBs, it’d be McIntyre and Dann. And if Thomas is any good then he’d come into that mix as a younger, quicker CB

But Holmes and Morro have played together a fair bit recently and done alright in the last 2 games, difficult to drop them imo

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

We'd have nobody to blame but ourselves if Joao was to be injured for any game between now and the end of the season for wasting a slot in our squad for someone like Barker who is barely getting a look in and joined a squad where we were already stocked in wide players when it is evident that we st...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

So much for fully fit squad Rino out for the season. Meite out for a month (basically the season) At least Baba is back Yep. It doesn’t really end does it. Agreed about Yaks. That’s his season done too. Also very odd Halilovic is still a few weeks away. So the injuries are Rinomhota Halilovic Meite...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Yep particularly keen on any of the CB partnerships at the moment. Thomas may be a good option if he is quick and will possibly suit playing against Barnsley but big call to throw him in. Just think Morro and Holmes have the shirt and off the back of the 1-0 win will probably keep them I’d rather ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Huge game of course but not terminal if we lose it Feels very strange having a full strength squad pretty much to choose from - hopefully Baba is back. Some tough choices for Ince to make - will have a stab at what he goes for: Nyland Yiadom Holmes Morrison Baba Ince Laurent Drinkwater Ejaria Swift ...
