Re: MATCH THREAD - Swansea (A) Sponsored by the play off fin

Agreed, he's said that he'll always go for the win rather than trying to settle for a draw. There must've been a point between starting the second half and the second goal going in that dropping a striker for midfield/defense was the best way of winning the game. Normally I agree with the "easy...

Re: Gunter v Cummings

He'll play a solid spell then suddenly seem surprised by a good ball. Just need a bit on consistency.

Re: Pick Your Best 11

TheSiege For all that's been said above, at CB, I rather think that a Gorkss-Pearce partnership - or a Gorkss-Mariappa partnership, work better than a Pearce-Mariappa partnership!

Hate to agree with The Siege, but Gorkss was crucial against Swansea, and we missed Pearce.

Re: Adam le Fondre - proving many wrong

Hunt is winning on goals and work rate, but Alfie will get goals too. Strikers are one position we don't seem to have a problem at the moment. Very happy with out options, and not even a sniff of Church.

Agreed. McAnuff has been good. Had a poor match against West Brom but that's it. He's a good player and a good ambassador for RFC.

Re: Back from the Game

It's interesting that almost without exception the fans who were at the game are bemoaning a shyte performance and two lost points, yet in his post match interview McDermott was celebrating a point won! Quite how throwing away a 2-0 lead can be a cause for celebration for a manager is beyond me and...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

Ideal In your face federici-fans, McCarthy was excellent today, obvious man of the match.

Yes he was, and at this point I wouldn't want him dropped, but McCarthy having a good game and Federici being good are not mutually exclusive.

I was clenching every time he went for the ball. He was a red card waiting to happen. You can't substitute talent for effort at this level.

Re: Alex Mcarthy IS good enough for the premier league

McCarthy did most to earn us that point today, and was easily the best player on the pitch. Cummings was poor today, and Maps was only ok. Gorkss, put in a very good shift for us today.

Re: The "Does it Even Itself Out?" Thread

I think the pummeling we took all match which finished 2-2 is a balance of luck. Should've been 6-1 today. Worst performance this season. On a real downer. right so one of our goals shouldn't have stood? This thread is about the balance of luck. Both of our goals took a massive slice of it, so when...

Re: MATCH THREAD - Swansea (A) Sponsored by the play off fin

A point away is good, and at the beginning of the season we would have jumped at a point in Swansea...so why does it feel like we just lost?

What's the point in another striker when the midfield can't get it right?
