Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a) sponsored by Glen Little

Now I don’t like criticising JLow nowadays as too easy a target but his rating of Boye isn’t the best: Boye 5 Replaced Adam for the final 20 minutes. Made little impact. (Other than the ‘assist’ for the penalty and starting the break for the fourth goal that is). Agreed. Perhaps he was already on t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a) sponsored by Glen Little

leon Shambolic goal

For the ref given the ball went way over the goal line and was hauled back into play by Argyle.

Now is the time for some of our boys to be become men.

NewCorkSeth Delighted with that line up. Well done Gomes. Feck the cup, let's smash Charlton.

+1

Unlike others I never had a problem with Steve Coppell's approach to cup games. We have bigger fish to fry and these players need 1st team football.

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Away

Agree with all of the above and while having sympathy for Rino, as you say, he only fits the Pele role but not as well as the man himself.

You would hope so as that appears to have been the deal maker after they tried to sell him to Brentford amongst others.

Re: Sone Aluko to China!

He may be better suited to the way we play now. They could loan him back to us whilst picking up his wages in China Everyone wins that way.... Apart from any of us who have to watch him in a Reading shirt again. God no. If we were playing a 4-2-3-1, for sure I’d like to see him return in the right ...

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Away

Quite Have to wonder if some might be reassessing their view that Ejaria was the lesser of last season's Famous Five loanees and, as for him being dropped for Rino, LMFAO!!! I hope the latter gets a start soon (tonight, surely?) but, barring injury or fatigue, arguably the best bit of business in ou...

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Away

That was by and large fcuking atrocious. We barely touched the ball in the first 30 minutes, we made them look like barca-fcuking-lona. We looked fatigued, everyone a yard off the pace, second best to everything. Credit to Huddersfield they pressed high with intensity and in numbers giving us littl...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (a) sponsored by as hard as it gets

I reckon (and I hope) Gomes will drop out either Swift or Ejaria for Rinomhota to be slightly more defensive tonight. As long as Rino is used regularly enough throughout the season, I’m happy! Too much of a talent to not be utilised Not a chance unless he thinks we need fresh legs after outstanding...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (a) sponsored by as hard as it gets

I like your optimism Snowball, but I really do want to see us perform like Cardiff for a few more games at least, before I start jumping in with how good the side is We're still not particularly proven. Joao has never been first choice for long, Puscas is new to England, Ejaria has had one fairly g...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

It's not really true that with WBs we only have one defender on the wing, is it? Since we have an extra CB and the three can shuffle left-right we more or less have two defenders per wing, don't we? We were letting in goals pre-season because the 442 FBs were stranded up field, once because McIntyr...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

The ref was pretty average to poor until about 60 odd mins when he picked up what Cardiff were up to and started pulling them up for their multiple fouls Joao did fall over too easily, but he was still being constantly kicked, pulled and wrestled before the ball came to him. You're not actually all...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

It's early days for this new system but the weakness will be against teams who pack the midfield and force us out wide. That's exactly what happened in the second half vs Wycombe and we struggled. I don't think we have enough quality at wing back. The weakness is out wide where there is just a wing...

Re: Where will we finish?

To escape relegation last season we had to ride high in the current form tables so why so many think we can't achieve mid table is beyond me and I doubt it's what Chelsea were thinking when they left the Mad Stad. We have some fantastic young players and much scope for them to thrive. FFP could unw...

Re: CONFIMRED - Michael Morrison

Thought Brum were a decent outfit last season and their fans seem to rate him (but not us :P ) so it looks a good signing on the back of a solid pre- season for the defence. In fact, despite the lack of signings and the blind panic it seems to be causing in some quarters, everything looks much bette...

Re: Will Gomes stay?

We aren't going to blood 10 or 11 youngsters at the same time though are we. Assuming we don't sign anyone else before the opening day (and that looks like a good bet at the moment) then our opening 11 is likely to be: Walker/Virginia Yiadom Moore (c) McIntyre Blackett Rinohmota Swift Olise Barrow ...
