Re: The Caylan Vickers thread

Shame. Good luck to him, should have played more. Hope we got something semi decent for him. Should he? Apart from his first 2 or 3 appearances he showed he wasn't ready for the first team. Couldn't get involved, no strength, had very little impact on games. It will come, i'm sure of that, but he d...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

I think he might do well at Pompey, I wouldn't be surprised if they looked to utilise him as a holding midfielder, although that's because I've always thought he could do a decent job there. If you need a good tackler to literally just sit and protect your CB's whilst shifting the ball to the more ...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Always felt NGW was unfairly treated here and his performances warranted more faith. He absolutely had flaws, bit weak in the challenge and not the strongest defensively, but really good going forward. Just constantly exposed by managerial tactics and poor players ahead of him. All the best to him ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

[qand I fear you may be wrong with regard to planning permission at Bearwood. There were very similar objections at Maidenhead and the only concession so far has been a small reduction in the number of houses to be built. Regardless of those outcomes the main point is the asset value in any negotia...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

How does the EFL/FA actually force a sale though? If they ban him from ownership, how does that affect his position? Its probably similar to being banned from being a company director. He will still own the club but will not be allowed to have any say in the running of the club. If the people who t...

Sutekh
morganb So, let's say that yesterday's protest has convinced Dai to sell, the next step is to find/convince someone to buy us.

Is there anything we fans can do to help find a buyer?

Postings on Ebay? Etsy? Gumtree?

I'd go for Not On The High Street personally...

Re: Potential New Owners

No news on Reading's potential new owners? It can't be easy selling a money pit. Good news from Carlisle though. They do have new owners; the Piatak family from Jacksonville, Florida. https://businesscrack.co.uk/2023/12/01/family-business-friday-usa-family-new-owners-of-carlisle-united-fc/ The futu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cheltenham Town (a)

Cheltenham away > pretty much all of the championship away days I agree. Thought it was a very enjoyable one despite the first half performance. Cheltenham is one of the nicer places as well and not a shithole like places such as Middlesbrough, Swansea, Birmingham, Preston and Huddersfield which ar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

I think he has been helped by having a fully fit Wing in the side and a player in Azeez who has delivered some end product. I'm not going to give him credit for that, and it took him way too long to relaise we were playing too narrow. Since we have played with more width we have got better results....

Wycombe Royal Six wins in a row and I'll still want him out. Nice guy, but the not right guy for a League 1 or 2 scrap.

Reckon he could do a job in an academy.

Possibly. He's defintely a coach and not a manager.
