Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Looks a decent side Think it depends on fitness levels. Not sure if Loum played the internationals. See how Hoilett is after travelling etc. but I wouldn’t stray far from that. Don’t think I’d put Long straight back in even if fit, so I might go Meite even though not sure if Meite and Joao work up t...

Re: Hector

If we could get him in fine. Certainly fits the type of player we’ve gone for

Expect the wage demands are high

Always liked him in midfield - not dissimilar role to Loum

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Been much the better side this half. Carroll has looked a lot sharper and causing a lot of problems. Another missed sitter from Meite with that header

1-0 ht

Reasonably entertaining. Scott and Abbey look handy to me. Carroll and Meite not seeing too much of it

Bit silly if that’s the case. Ten games in…only 2 defeats in there

Not a great start but even so

Have the number of games generally on sky generally increased since the last tv deal

CBA to check but think they did. When we are doing ok we do seem to be on a fair bit though

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

RG30 Luton (A) | Tue 1 Nov, 7.45pm
Preston (H) | Fri 4 Nov, 8pm
Watford (A) | Tue 8 Nov, 8pm

All now on Sky

Red button or main channel?

3 in a row is a bit nuts. Happy enough with the away games but will miss the Saturday home games

Re: Ince to Cardiff

Our 3 year play will clearly be about achieving and maintaining stability but improved performances on the pitch should go hand in hand with that. Promotion wouldn't necessarily be the target but I'd certainly be looking at ways to get back those 4,000 lost fans. I appreciate that largely goes hand...

Re: Ince to Cardiff

Other than the odd occasion when you get the likes of Brentford, do teams really have 4-5 year plans nowadays? Everything is so short termist. Think in the champ you generally need a solid base - which I reckon we’ll have next season, and then you need a lot of luck and things to go your way to get ...

Re: Ince to Cardiff

Yeah agreed. I credit the whole back room staff - Bowen, Eddie N, Rae and that new coach who I can’t remember the name of as much as I do Ince really. It’s a solid experienced unit, whilst still be young enough to be relevant and in touch with the modern game So much of a contrast to Pauno’s era - t...

Re: Rival Watch

Confrimed Warne to Derby

Do have to think that’s bad news for Rovrum. Back to relegation favourites

Rosenior will make a good coach or manager somewhere I reckon.

Re: Ince to Cardiff

I never quite got why he was so written off. Blackburn didn’t work out but he always seemed to do ok otherwise Actually got a few inklings but prob not for this chat here Think we suit him at the moment. Fans like the relative lack of BS in his interviews and playing style, he’s got the ‘backs to th...

Re: Let’s give Dai some credit

Pretty sure Bowen was a technical consultant at the time those players were signed. I remember an interview with him where he outlined his responsibility as looking at training and match preparation. Not sure what input he had on signings. It may even be that as a result if that he suggested the ne...

Re: Let’s give Dai some credit

The problem with Joorabchian was that his involvement saw a decline in the club's own scouting network and for a lot of the time, we didn't have a Bowen type figure vetting the deals, hence we got players like Boye coming in or we ended up spending £10m+ on 2 strikers when we already had about 5 at...

Re: Let’s give Dai some credit

Prettty sure Joorabchain's involvement occured after Gourlay left but if you look at the transfers that Joorabchain was allegedly involved in, they were a marked improvement; Martinez, Oliviera, Baker, Margaret, Joao, Ejaria, and most of them were loans The inherent problem there is that you are ou...
