Re: The Footballer Coming Out Thread

I’m not one for joining STAR or the FSF or being a Dirkers but it leaves me frothing at the mouth the nonsense that gets dished out about football fans when stories like this come out. Like we can’t possibly be trusted to cope with one of the lads being a woofter. ^^^ very much this The problem wil...

Re: Kebe Watch

On one hand, our experience with Messrs Little and Kitson makes me sceptical.

On the other hand, he's a Premier League quality player and definitely one of the best wingers in the Championship. We should be trying to sign him.

Re: What's to blame?

Who signed those players? We finished 5 placed lower under Coppell than we did under Pards, even though we'd added Goater, Kitson and Ingimarsson and still had the core of the side, though Salako was on the way out. The next season, we could theoretically have fielded the same XI that won the league...

Re: What's to blame?

Principally injuries (particularly to Karacan, Drenthe and Bridge), but also individual mistakes, poor coaching, a few tactical errors (though coaching seems more of a problem than match plans right now), and poor form. Until mid february? f u cking hell. Coppell needed three years and we weren't ex...

Re: Nick Blackman Appreciation Thread

Not wishing to blow smoke up Feds arse (this is a Nick Blackman thread after all)...but our best days since Marcus, (one or two games in the Prem notwithstanding) were with him in goal. No shit? The vast majority of our games since Marcus have had Federici in goal, it should surprise no one to hear...

Re: New Poll - Adkins

SKB utterly schooling P!ssed Off there. WP. Adkins isn't blameless for our current situation, but 1) our current situation isn't very bad- at worst it is "meh", 2) he has been undermined by constant injuries to his midfield and now his defence, and 3) we shouldn't go around sacking manager...

Re: Danny Williams

I had been wondering the same thing. I was a fan of Harper, but I do struggle to tell what Williams contributes. I thought it was the right time to move on from Jay Tabb, but I'm not sure why we'd spend a million replacing him with Williams. I'd rather have kept Tabb based on performances so far. To...

He's won three Championship medals in three years. Therefore, if we sign him then we'll be guaranteed champions.

Re: Adkins to West Brom

Going by the likes of Blackman, Carricco and Akpan, I'm glad we didn't give McDermott any more than that. The same Carrico who is currently playing for Sevilla in the Europa League and La Liga? :| And let's just casually ignore all the other players we brought in with McDermott as chief scout or ma...

Re: BFTG Forest

Seriously, has nobody ever seen a Nigel Adkins team play before? The man made Ricky Lambert the Championship top scorer, with most assists being provided by the full backs. That doesn't happen if you just pass it around the back. He made Scunthorpe look credible even though they were built around tw...

LoyalRoyal22
Gunter comments a disgrace. Struggled slighty in the Prem, playing in a poor team.

Hello there Chris.

Pfft, revisionism. TSI have helped us sign players we would never have been able to get under Madejski. http://e2.365dm.com/12/08/800x600/Pavel-Pogrebnyak_2811646.jpg?20120814140719 http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Royston+Drenthe+Reading+v+Ipswich+Town+Sky+Yo9SNcYx7sPl.jpg http://www1.pictures.zi...

Re: Nick Blackman Appreciation Thread

I'm a little bit confused as to why Adkins moved him to LB when Taylor came on, seemed to kill him a little bit. Adkins unwillingness to change the shape of the team really confuses me. Let's be honest, what's the point in having a striker playing LB, you may as well just go to 3 at the back and pu...

Re: Le Fondre - Come and get me plea

Are you Tim Dellor? Take your blinkers off and watch the two players again. Your description of Sharp is quite unbelievable. The great thing about today was that Saint ALF got brought on with plenty of the game left and contributed bugger all. Yep, Alf was completely anonymous when he came on. But ...

Re: Le Fondre - Come and get me plea

there's no pride in playing for a team anymore, just whoever pays the most. Why would Le Fondre be proud of playing for Reading? :| I think Le Fondre is a good player, but Sharp and Pogrebnyak (and Roberts lololol) are just as good if not better. If he is causing problems behind the scenes then I w...

Re: Nick Blackman Appreciation Thread

Let's not get carried away, his end product was pretty poor. But easily MOTM and it's great to see what he can do. Much better than McCleary or Drenthe today. Agreed. His touch, control and dribbling were excellent today, but aside from one shot, his end product was poor. However, unlike McCleary, ...

Re: Forest Match Thread - Sponsored by Halford's Nose

Pearce 7- made a few good interventions and looked good on the ball I'm sorry, but he looked very uncomfortable on the ball, and if we long to continue playing passing football then we will need a centre half far more comfortable on the ball. He was good enough for Rodgers, and he's good enough for...

Re: Forest Match Thread - Sponsored by Halford's Nose

One point off the play-offs despite a whole team out injured. Could be a turning point, that goal..... A whole team without a keeper, majority of whom wouldn't be in starting XI. So injuries is a poor excuse. The centre back situation is all down to Spadkins. Starting the season with 3 CBs, 1 aged ...

Think we need more in midfield in a vague attempt to create some chances. ------------- McCarthy ----------------- Cummings - Gunter - Pearce - Kelly ----- Guthrie - Obita - Williams ----- McCleary -------------------------- Drenthe/McAnuff (whoever's fit/can play) -------------- Pogrebnyak -------...
