If this comes off, I'll be really optimistic about it because he looks a good player for little outlay.

And, with a manager who's so laid back he's almost horizontal, I'm very hopeful that we'd be able to make a good impact on Bikey's dodgy temperament.

Note to Reading fans everywhere - doubting our credentials as a top flight team does not make someone a cock. Ignoring the fact that as a Reading fan I think we will be relegated, if I was not a Reading fan, I would without a doubt be tipping us to go down. From what I've seen of the Premiership te...

Chris Makin - Many thanks for your service to the club. You will be missed, all the best at Southampton. Not Enough Players With Prem Experience - Who have been our top players over the past few years in the CCC?: Leroy Lita - No Previous CCC Experience Dave Kitson - No Previous CCC Experience Kevi...

Neither do I, but, nevertheless, this appears be the case. Heskey is a washed up has-been (and, some would say, never was) In fact, he's not a gamble, he's a ridiculous waste of money, bought, no doubt, to appease another set of panicking fans. I, too, hope we sign at least one defender before deadl...

The point I've made is that Premiership experience in its self counts for very little.....................as witnessed by your insistance that Oster will be 3rd choice behind Seul and Little. Furthermore, as witnessed by Heskey's £5m transfer fee, too many people in this game over value Premiership...

The infantile obsession with "Prem experience" grows more wearing by the day. Those who hold the opinion that we should create a balanced blend of youth and experience by adding a couple of seasoned pros with decent top-flight records have backed up their argument with well-reasoned...

The infantile obsession with "Prem experience" grows more wearing by the day. Thanks for last season, Chris, you gave us good service whenever it was needed whilst being unfortunate not to have played more often. I guess if we'd spent £5m on Emile Heskey there wouild be a few less soiled...

Hoop Blah
'lista One poll in 442 magazine does not a Premiership star make. Don't believe the hype.

Not according to Nuts magazine. He's now won their player of the Championship as well!!!!

Which is quite some achievement given that he wasn't even in the frame for our player of the season.

I trust that when Sidwell leaves RFC that you will be taking most of the nonsense that you post to some other poor unsuspecting fans forum.

I do agree with ou WR that we have a very good basis of a squad, they way we strolled last year shows that but IMHO we do need two more players one CB and one CM. Whilst I don't mind us starting the season without them, we need at least one if not both in by the 31st. We got lucky with the centre h...

What I'm saying is that I don't think many fans appreciate just how good the team had to be to walk the Championship in the way that it did and is probably good enough already to hold it's own and more against many of the lesser Prem teams . Wigan and West Ham certainly bucked the trend of recent se...

As others have said, we were the best team ever to grace the second tier of English football and I see precious little appreciation of that fact from the doom and gloom merchants. Just because Colin has bought a string of 3rd raters, it's really beyond me why some fans want us to do the same. As Arc...

And you need a reality check if you can't see why his agents comments are being interpreted to mean that Sidwell wants to play his football elsewhere
