Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

The theme tune from Hitman and Her. What’s the connection? Weird choice - great programme though I have actually looked into it before. I was taken by surprise that they used it when I was up in the away end a few years ago, it was baffling. In short the answer is nobody knows why they use it, does...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

NathStPaul
Sutekh
NathStPaul Barnsley have the greatest walk out music ever. For that reason alone I am fearing a heavy defeat.

And what exactly is this "greatest walk out music ever"?

The theme tune from Hitman and Her.

What’s the connection? Weird choice - great programme though

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

Players are genuinely likeable this season for the first time for a while. Knibbs, Smith, wing etc all seem top professionals, work their backsides off etc. Younger players like Savage seem to really buy into fan interaction Last year it was difficult to shake the idea that a few of them really were...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

We're all allowing ourselves to think several steps ahead with the takeover, myself included. We're still in a very dangerous situation. If it goes through it's definitely good news, but I hope the new guys are sensible. We have a team and set of footballing operations that are already doing fine, ...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

Other than LW I don’t think we have any glaring weaknesses Not too sure what we’d do if one of the CBs got injured - maybe Dorsett there. Mola’s getting close to the standard of a regular LB so I’d be ok with not signing another one, esp with Carson, Ryan and Dorsett knocking about Goes without sayi...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

Tbh bar that 2 points in 10 game run or whatever it was I’ve enjoyed this season on tbe pitch

I’d take much the same; add an extra 4 or 5 wins and no points deductions or panic sales and I think we’d be in quite a good place

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

Key thing for me now is to give a few fringe players some.sub minutes and maybe a start, not too many at once, but we need to see who we want to contiñue to develop and who we can't rely on to step up next season.. So I want to see at least one 15 min plus sub appearance from the following: Carson ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

The one plus from yesterday (apart from the point) was the performance of Elliot. At last he was played between centre and right midfield whereas previously Selles had played him wide right which is a dreadful position for a right-footed player. Looking at those players yesterday I felt that only B...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

No Holmes today- playing for the U 21’s Can't see Holmes playing again for the first team (at least unless we resign him at some point). We're almost at the point where we're mathematically safe and won't make any sense playing players we won't have next season. Be nice to give him a bow off the be...

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

I’ll get one, but I’d rather leave it a bit later and hope the takeover has gone through/not fallen through by the renewal date

May be a move to 1871 this year. Inevitable now the kids are getting older and want to be there

Re: Hob Nob Anyone? player of the season 2023/24

Think Wing could play Champ but he’d have to adapt his game. I suspect he quite enjoys being a standout L1 player more than a run of the mill champ midfielder Bindon definitely has the ability to play champ and maybe higher. Quality player and will only get better For all our terrible management in ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

Mukairo, Craig and Yids in for Dorsett, Kelv and Savage for me

Definitely prefer Kelvin off the bench atm - he’s a great player to bring on around the hour mark

For arguments sake, if we had exactly the same squad as we do now for next year, I’d expect top ten, knocking on the door of the play offs

Happy to come out of the day not really any worse of than we were, obvs had the hardest fixture there

Defending on the goals was pretty atrocious but let’s forget this one and pick up the win next time out

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Yiadom back from suspension do we change a winning team and he comes straight back in? 2 wins and 2 clean sheets since he’s been out the team. Would be very harsh on mola, who after a shaky start for us is looking ok now. I thought Mola was pretty ropey today at RB, so I'd have Yids straight back i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

That win was crucial!! we probably need two more wins purely because Cheltenham and Port Vale won't go away!! Our run in isn't the easiest either. The next two being Bolton (a) and Lincoln (h) Bolton will be tough and Lincoln are currently top of the form guide. Then its Brizzle (a) and Barnsley (a...
