Re: Rival Watch

Royals and Racers 2-0

The stats look incredibly one-sided. Seems very little chance Peterborough won't win this game now.

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

We're not having to rebuild the core of the team for next season (ie. Smith, Wing, Knibbs, Bindon, Mbengue, Yiadom, etc. are all under contract) - so it's possible (perhaps likely) we'll have a stronger squad with more depth next season. I think it's unlikely we'll be promoted next season, but at th...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

Really need to keep this squad relatively untouched, it can only be a positive outcome. But have to be cautious, the takeover isn`t over the line yet, I wouldn`t put anything past Dai at this point. I agree though, the standard of most teams in this league has been piss poor , there`s nothing to st...

Re: Barnsley (A)

Now estimating 623 sold. A very steady stream of tickets are still being sold - now around 660. That's more than they brought down to us Yeah, they took 569 to us and your comment is going to lead me down a rabbit hole of how many fans have we taken to teams compared to how many they brought to us....

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

It'd be a brave (or extremely expensive) lender that would take on sales for a club in our financial predicament when you consider that if we go bust or into administration it's the credit company that has the contract with (and so the liability to) STHs, but would only be a teeny tiny creditor wit...

Can’t easily do the maths in my head, but (as it stands) would that be five points to mathematical safety?

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

No finance option available. Does seem odd, albeit I think it was only last season I found out finance was even an option. I imagine if you contact the club, as you'd like have to anyway to arrange for it, they'd give you details on that. It'd be a brave (or extremely expensive) lender that would t...

Basically he just followed the ball, which no referee should do, that`s why you have assistants. I always though refs ran from the left-back position to left-back position, with the linesmen running down the flank of the right-back position to maximise how much of the game each can see. https://enc...

Clyde1998 Around 550 sold now. Block NS3 has now opened, with NS2 being almost sold out (note the bottom section of the stand appears to be unavailable for purchase at this stage).

Now estimating 623 sold.
A very steady stream of tickets are still being sold - now around 660.

Re: Massive new regulations hitting English football

Someone on Twitter has noticed the Premier League have started running attack ads regarding a regulator for football: https://twitter.com/sgfmann/status/1777242796086227366 The one found was oddly placed in the middle of an article about David Cameron going to the US in an attempt to get military ai...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

WM - Jack Nolan, 22 (Accrington) - Pld 40; Gls 14; Ass 5; Rat 7.22 Thought I remembered checking up on him and thinking he hadn't done well, obviously not. Yeah, get him in. Nolan and Azeez either side of Knibbs with Ehib and Elliott to come off the bench is tasty. He appears to have improved a lot...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

I'd go with the following for players I'd want to try and keep (for those out of contract) and those I think we won't be able to sell/loan (for those in contract): (+ new contract; * trigger extension clause; ++ new signing) GKs Button Pereira* CBC (send out on loan) RBs Abrefa+ Rushesha* [don't kno...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

Who the hell signed Bouzanis on a 3 year deal? That would be Ince and Bowen. At least it hasn't cost us much. This. I think he was always signed to be a backup keeper; he'll be on backup keeper wages. He was also signed at a time when we were most restricted as to who we could bring in, so he proba...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

Pereira is better than Button, so it's a shame he's the one with his contract up. He was decisive in the win against Northampton; that's the only game this season where a keeper has played a big winning role, whereas Button has a few key losing roles against his name. So I'd definitely try and keep...
