Re: The "Championship won't be all that bad" thread

In the Championship can still aspire to get into the Prem, even if it' s not at the first attempt. In the prem you're just there to be a whipping boy and have all the cash sucked out of you.

Re: will you renew?

But when it comes to it, dammit, that's my seat, which I choose 10 years ago this month and which is around the group of people I've been sat with for nearly every match for 10 years. Is this the same Dirk that kept pointing out to me that it wasn't my seat, when there was the prospect of losing it...

Re: Next season in championship

From Despair To Where? I for one will be extremely pissed off if we stay up next week. It will mean another 12 months of Premiereship bullshit.

Me too, I don't look forward to the fallout, but I do look forward to going to games with the prospect of winning. This season has been a slow torture.

Hunty getting POTY sums up the season really, utter gash and embarrassing.

Re: Leeds' 15-point deduction upheld

Even more so, as a condition of not being relegated to League 2 Leedsa agreed to the 15 point deduction - except Bates somehow decided not to make that public. I haven't heard that one before, where did you get that from? Can't the FA take yet more points off them for a frivilous appeal, a bit like...

Might as well leave it to tomorrow AF1 and pick one up before the game.

Re: Countdown to Pride Park

Glass half empty if we lose next week and both Bolton and Brum win even a win at Derby will probably not be enough (Brum would only need a draw at home to Blackburn)

Glass half full if we win next week and both Bolton and Brum lose, worst case we need a draw at Derby

Re: LOLeicester or Southampton to drop?

It was indeed Leicester's cynical administration that caused the league to bring in the points deduction, however I'd still prefer Soton to go down.

Re: Who Will Go Down - Last 4 matches.

Both team spirit and tactics seem to have gone. The only explanation for the team line up at Arsenal was to prepare for Wigan, and it failed. Coppell doesn't know his strongest team. We're down.

Re: Remembering the 96

Still very sad. The thought that they were like us just supporting the club they loved and they didn't come home. The season we won promotion was the first time I'd been to Hillsborough and it felt strange sitting in that end of the ground. The thought of those that died was very much in my mind. R...

Re: Does anyone mind if we get relegated?

When aspiring teams like Portsmouth can lose £23m despite all the cash they get from Sky, then it goes to show that although the stakes are much higher so are the losses. I'd imagine there are similar cost for several other teams (West Ham, Wigan, Sunderland, ...) How many prem clubs actually run at...

Re: Hahnemann has to go this year...

I thought he could of done better for the first goal on Sat, he committed himself too early and made it easy for Martins to score, when there were defenders around. The third was similar but I'm not sure he had much choice.

On the whole though I'd keep hold of him.

Re: Reading Vs Fulham - Biggest Game of the Season!

It we fail to win then we'll be looking to the Derby game to stay up, as I'm not expecting much from Arsenal, Wigan or Spurs, and I can see Bolton getting something from West Ham and at least one surprise win before the end of the season. It's not quite a must win, but if we fail to then it's squeak...

It was bad, but probably about as bad as Bolton away (considering the distance) and Fulham away.
