Re: Summer Ins and Outs

Oh the humorous possibilities brought about by the fact humans don't have unique surnames ! I bet you loved the multiple Andy Gray situation, and of course the utter confusion brought about by Quinn being selected for ROI having been a NI stalwart previously ! Still, we have a World Cup winning Eng...

Re: Summer Ins and Outs

McIntyre roughly divided his time between left back and centre back last season. I think he could be a useful left back but he's not likely to compete for a wing-back position, he's technically good but quite cautious. Omar Richards is the attacking left-back to watch, he could be next season's Wat...

Re: Madejski Stadium cladding.

For a raft of reasons I would be amazed if there was any similarity, there is no reason why they would use insulatimg cladding on a stadium.
The stadium manager is pretty switched on though so he's likely to have been on top of it.
I'd have thought the hotel would be more likely to be an issue.

Re: Summer Ins and Outs

I think Osho looks a really good prospect. Not dissimilar to Illori in style ? McIntyre has been playing as a full back when fit so not sure whether he's thought of as a contender in the middle. He can certainly play there but we're well served at centre back and if he can stay fit next season he co...

Re: CONFIRMED: Pelle Clement

I'd agree that he looks like a good fit for the first team squad. In terms of youngsters the likes of a Frost and Holsgrove are a year or two too young, Josh Barrett is also only 19. My query was that you claimedthe youngsters are not up to standard, I think it 's more that the likely players in tha...

Re: CONFIRMED: Pelle Clement

there are plenty of players in the Academy who can play more than one position. Jack Stacey was a winger who played full back or wing back as well, several of the centre backs can play full back or midfield, Josh Barrett pops up as a winger, no 10, striker, Tyler Frost seems to play anywhere, Tom M...

Re: CONFIRMED: Pelle Clement

Let us not forget that this is the same Ajax side that reached the final of Europa League last season - not quite being good enough to make their first team in no way indicates he's a bad signing for us at this level. Illori - not quite good enough for Liverpool Moore- not quite good enough for Lei...

Re: WHO THINKS THIS IS A LOAD OF BOL...................KS

I judge Redknapp on the basis that few fans of club's he has managed seem to speak highly of him . My impression is he is a wheeler dealer rather than a manager. Spends money he doesn't have then quits to let others sort out the mess. I also prefer a manager who coaches as well. Harry is well known...

Re: RUMOUR - Cyrus Christie

This is a good signing imo if the fee is low. Also it would allow Watson to go on loan and play regularly for a season Agree re Watson. Another season of playing hardly any games will do him no good. A loan to a good Div 1 side and 40 games under his belt and he will be the finished article. Being ...

Re: 2017/18 Championship Fixtures

What does Sunderland have to offer ? It's not even got the '30 minutes from London' side benefit and the laughingly named 'Stadium of Light' is just a Mad Stad with extra seats. Now Roker Park, that WAS a ground.....
Did anyone ever say 'let's go to Sunderland for the weekend' ?

Re: Pre-Season tour - Holland 2017

Bath City shouldn't be a new ground for hard core Reading fans. IIRC Bristol Rovers played there briefly when they left Twerton park and we had a cup replay there....
IF I recall rightly it's more Palmer Park than Elm Park though !

Re: Pre-Season tour - Holland 2017

Presumably because everything was delayed 3 weeks by the play-offs. Stam is still on holiday, isn't he? I doubt he's the only one. They could have looked into this before the playoff final though. It doesn't matter who we play whether we were a premier league or championship team as they're only wa...

genome I think you've left a bit of an open goal there Namers

Although as we can see you can stick the ball on the 6 yard line and The Informant will still contrive to put it in Row Z !

Is Row Z Royal still around... I imagine that would be uncomfortable.

Re: Jaap Stam Rumours

So their manager's aren't always poached then....
And my reference was to manager's changing, not being poached or sacked.
But thanks for helping the clueless amongst us feel better. There is always one who is even more clueless.

Do you actually get a thrill from being a bit of a dick ?
