Re: Where does Carroll rank in worst ever signings?

He would not be in the top 1,000

Re: Sam Smith confimred

Sam Smith was one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Reading shirt.....however, I would have said the same about Michael Antonio a few years back so who knows. It's a measure of the state we are/were in that its reassuring to see players think of Reading as a better option than Cambridge. Sadl...

Right now, any signing would be a good signing as it would be an indicator that the club has a viable future

Re: We DO have to take action ASAP.

I rang the ticket office this morning who advised that, in the circumstances, they will offer a refund on any season ticket purchase for supporters who request this. Two thoughts on this, firstly, I think that is an extremely worrying straw in the wind and am now genuinely concerned about the club'...

Anything to replace that awful "Only one number one" song they insist on playing at half time

Re: Warnock fixed it for Huddersfield....

NathStPaul He is the manager we should have brought in just after Christmas. We would be a Championship club next season had we done that.

Genuinely, I preferred being relegated without appointing Warnock than staying up under him. I we ever appoint him, I will no longer be a fan.

Re: CONFIMRED - Relegation

Two massive turning points for, the six point deduction and the Carroll red card. Without Carroll being sent off we may well have beaten both Luton and Wigan. It would be interesting to know who knew what and when about the likelihood of the six points. Since the new year I have had the impression t...

No, it's too long a trek for a meaningless game.

Assuming Sheffield don't win tonight, if anyone wants free tickets, message me

Re: Rival Watch

IF we were to beat Wigan by 3+ I think i'd want Hudders to win at Cardiff on Sunday. I think the chances of us beating a Hudders team who are safe and Cardiff losing at Burnley are greater than the chances of us beating a Hudders side that need a result to stay up. I can't believe Burnley will be ha...

Re: Rival Watch

Yeah, we needed someone to win that though. Draw would have meant we'd need 2 wins to bypass either. A Rotherham win would have been preferable, but a Cardiff win is better than a draw The draw would have been better. Would have meant that, if we win both games, we'd stay up unless Cardiff won at B...

Re: Rival Watch

Cardiff 7 goals better than us now, very much safe, probably don`t need to do fukk all Sunday . but you would hope they will want to be certain Well, for us to overtake them, it requires us to win both and for them to lose both, so that's a four goal swing at a minimum. Given they are away to the r...

Crucial game tonight, if Cardiff beat Rotherham then we may well still go down with two wins

Re: Season Tickets 23/24

Been a season ticket holder since pre millennium and will renew next year regardless.

I think if we are uncompetitive in Division One, that would try my patience for the subsequent season though.

Re: Relegation

Terrible though we are, looking at the remaining fixtures, I think there's a realistic chance we will go into the last game knowing a win will secure safety, or possibly safety subject to Cardiff not winning at Burnley, which you would hope is unlikely. In a one game shoot out with Carroll back and ...

Re: Most important goal in our history?

Cureton at Brentford by a mile. In context, we had blown a sizeable lead over third and would not have been a great form going into a play off campaign, additionally, we had blown the play offs the previous season so would have had a mental barrier. So I don't believe we would have gone up through t...

Re: Are you optimistic we'll survive?

It's a no from me.

Watched the Huddersfield game last night and can't see us beating them. I think we'll get a maximum of 4 points from the remaining games and that will prove not to be enough.

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Ince sacked

I have every sympathy with Ince, for both his seasons the remit was to stay up. He achieved it last season and would have achieved this season without the points deduction. To that extent, he did his job. I don't doubt we all want to see flowing attacking football but the reality is we do not have ...
