I'm 5' 6" so not a giant. Also I never stand up persistantly, but stand up when singing or it looks like we might score. Do you ever consider the person behind you when you stand up or do you just do it without thinking? Do you ever consider standing up yourself if the person in front of you i...

You can't go to a football match and expect people not to stand up. Exactly. Especially last night, in one of the best atmospheres experienced. I did tone it down a little afterwards, but it's just annoying. I think the bottom line is I'll have to comprimise a bit .... so I'll only stand for about ...

Told to sit down in Y25

During the city match yesterday I kept standing up and chanting with everyone else. But sometime in the second half some guy behind me puts his hand on my shoulder and says, would you mind sitting down as my friend is quite small and can't see. Bit annoying as the match was really a great atmosphere...

We might. Who cares? I do actually, as it's a mockery of the whole system. Genuine fans who are interested in watching a game of football will most probably buy a ticket for the reason of going ot the game, not to tactically put themselves in a more prominent and stronger position to buy tickets fo...

What winds me up at the end of a game is people standing in the isles clapping the players or watching the results of other matches on the big screen and not walking as they are doing it. Can these people not multi-task? Indeed. Apart from being dangerous it is bloody annoying as they block...

No matter how busy my life is, or how long I have to wait when I leave the stadium I would NEVER EVER leave early. It's not because of the players, or what others may think. It's because of the £545 that I spent a season ticket and the fact that I don't want to miss a second of the game. What I don...

You should go to support your team no matter who they are playing just because we're in the prem now doesnt mean the team doesnt need our support against smaller teams I do agree with you. However, I bought an away/home season ticket and am really watching what I buy. E.g. not buying the new shirt,...

I would dread to think what would happen to the idiot stupid enoguh to celebrate a chelski or manure goal whilst in the home ends. There would be a riot. Oh yeah, like there was at the RFC / Chelsea cup game a couple of years ago  Well I still think there may be trouble. Depends on where this...

Re: Hoops?

Why do our shirts not have hoops on the back? I haven't seen Newcastle, or Blackburn for example following the so called ruling for a plain back. So what's the deal? You're about 3 months late in this discussion. I don't think anyone knows why. Edit: correcting "your" to "you're"...

It annoys me a bit when people say our fans are crap. They are not crap.

How do you rate how good the fans are? Any football stadium will have the loud areas and the quiet ones just as Reading does.

This may sound stupid, but it's hard not to join into tom hark. On saturday I was hoping they wouldn't play it. After the first goal they didn't and it was good. The second reading goal was amazing and the whole of Y25 (and the whole stadium) went mental. However jumping up and down, it was ruined a...

Some people leave early because they don't want to face a 1hr wait of getting out the ground. Some people lead busy lives so don't critisize them. I got the bus and had to wait about 40 minutes for it. I never leave early as I spend enough money watching the game and love leaving as the players are...

Can't see this anywhere else. Found some vids on youtube: Unfortunately, most were by boro fans so can't see any reading goals yet: As the players come out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxEHrmF-H4k&mode=related&search= The bad boro boys cause trouble: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8RVBif...

Reading Abbey Absolutely delighted with it. Back in Y25 and 3/4's up!

I'm row v. Pretty good there. But I think the upper part is where the chant-starters are, must be good up there.

wehateoxford the celebration for the first goal was much more spontaneous and genuine than all this tom hark malarky.

I think you're quite lucky being in Y26. The noise is the best part, very noisy, rowdy, lots of banter, even when the away team scores. I feel fully involved there.

Quite agree, we don't want to be led like this but if the club insist on something being played please could they at least use some original music not the same one everyone else does. NO! We don't want any music. No music should be played during a game. End of. For once Jerry St Clair - I agree wit...
