This game is made for Meite’s power.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

Long and Hoilett linking up well with everyone, just need more of the final ball quality.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

Think any player would tell you a packed, noisy stadium at home really helps them in a game like this. Fans have done their bit, now the players must do theirs.

Re: Rival Watch

Cardiff being up for it would’ve likely meant a win for them which means both Rotherham and Cardiff would be all but safe. Think Cardiff would play for the point if the GD is as close as made out to be as a draw does nothing for Huddersfield.

Re: Rival Watch

Don’t think it really matters who wins just as long as someone does.

Re: Will we go down, yes or no?

Can’t decide, if we’re to beat Wigan of course if I want a final day where both us and Huddersfield just need a point, then Rotherham go 2-0 down early on and it’s stress free, job done or chaotic where a last minute goal keeps us up.

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

I’m not sure the Ipswich fans exactly enjoyed those 3 years and they could well be rubbish when they come back up A lot of them are insisting it’s been one of their favourite seasons in decades tbf. Those sort of memories don’t go away in a hurry. But how many bad years have they had prior to this ...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

If we go down, they are probably the model for us - 3 solid but uninspiring seasons finishing 11th, 9th and 11th but decent recruitment throughout that time leading to an almost certain promotion this time round. This 100% but not sure we'd execute as well as they have. Be interesting to see if the...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Didn’t they spend an absolute shitload last year? Anyway did check the Derby, Barnsley and sheff weds teams and they are very similar to their relegation sides. We really don’t have anything to fear as long as we behave sensibly They did, but we tend to spend a lot when we can too. Probably won’t b...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Ipswich look to be coming back up after a few painful seasons in League One and are playing some lovely stuff. It’s not all doom and gloom if you get relegated.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

The momentum a win can generate from this sort of game is unbelievable. It’s out of our hands what happens now, just want the players to give it their best shot and be bold about it.

Re: Relegation Run Ins

The hope is back if Wigan are beaten, but 4 points from two is a huge ask. Likely not to be enough unless one of the teams has an absolute stinker.

Re: Will relegation hurt you?

Nothing unique then. Plenty of Championship clubs have dropped in and come back up or are fighting for promotion. We’ll see where we are at Christmas.

Re: Will relegation hurt you?

There’s a lot of people screaming about our finances, am I missing something? The weekly wage bill is about to be totally slashed by like 60k with Joao, Meite, Moore all going. Puscas likely to go as well. The debt is almost interest free and is to the owner, hence would likely be written off if the...

Re: Will relegation hurt you?

Yes, however it comes with opportunity. Whoever comes in has the chance to make the squad his own with plenty half decent academy players and a blank chequebook which will be very competitive in League One (even if we’re on a budget next season)

We need to get ourselves out quick though.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (a)

That’s us done. At least we’re getting a total reset in League One now the rest of the players are going. Been fighting relegation ever since the Chinese took over and you can’t keep doing that every season. Dread to think what’s in store for us though.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (a)

Good half time reaction. Players seem to be motivated by the manager which makes a nice change. Hope we can score before too long though.

4141 for the second half I think. Anyone can see from a mile off we need another midfielder.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (a)

The formation is totally wrong. I’d bring on another midfielder for Kelvin E if we don’t improve come half time.
