Re: The "We Are Going Up" Thread

Almost. Strangely enough the only game where we have not had more shots than the opposition was Ipswich where it was 10 to 12. Crucially 6 of our 10 were on target. Overall in our 9 games we have outperformed the opposition in shots by 2 to 1 (138 to 67) and in shots on target it is even better (46...

Re: Reading FC - this is embarrasing

It's all over the media. Typical descriptions are "Cheesy", "Cringe-worthy", "Excruciating", "Atrocious" and "possibly the worst video ever"

Ouch

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

So despite it being 3rd vs 2nd on Saurday, the Middlesbrough match won't be streamed with Leeds vs Birmingham the Championship match selected :| Don't think so. Rotherham v Burnley, Wolves v Huddersfield and Charlton v Fulham are the 3 televised games this weekend. You have to remember these are ch...

Re: BFTol G - Burnley (A)

Nameless At the risk of being called uneducated or opinionated can I point out most goals are scored through the gap between the keeper and the post ?

No, but you are being facetious.

Re: The "We Are Going Up" Thread

Interestingly* we only have one more point now than we did after the same amount of games last season, yet it feels completely different now. It started to go tits up at this exact point (after the 3-3 home draw with Wolves). That'll be because at this stage last season any points we had won had mo...

Re: BFTol G - Burnley (A)

Noticed Bond absolutely flailing at the corner before Norwood produced his genius block on the line. Still unconvinced. Did you think he could have done better with their goal? It is an old adage that keepers should not be beaten at their near post I agree with the flapping at the cross, but the go...

Re: Adam McCleary?!! (Media don't like us /can't spell threa

From the Lancashire Telegraph

Reading had won three of their last four Championship games, all on the road, and fairly comprehensively - notably their 5-1 thrashing of Fulham.

Re: BFTol G - Burnley (A)

Interesting to see that Sean Dyche felt they deserved a point. He overlooked the fact that we had 17 shots to their 9 and we could have had it wrapped up in the first half. In particular he felt they should have had a penalty when Obita blocked a shot from Vokes. Did anybody see it because on BBCRB ...

Re: The BBC

You want to try the Telegraph.
The match report runs to about 7 paragraphs. The word Reading appears once and the only mention of what we did is one sentence.

Highlights. The second looks worse and worse.

It also makes the first look pretty poor too
It does also show how many chances we had to wrap it up in the first half

Re: BFTG Everton

Being a relatively big club Everton have many supporters locally and especially London, so not a long trek. As for us who might consider returning a midweek cup game is not that attractive, even for a tenner. Add in 2 home games so recently and it is fully understandable. Far better to identify an ...

Re: First RFC player to 5 yellows in a season ...

FA website says data is updated after receiving referees report. These probably just going in. FA rules say suspension starts immediately so possible Norwood could miss Everton. Hope so because we need him for Burnley But Norwood wasn't/isn't showing in the "one caution away" list either....
