Re: Wolves Away (Predictions)

Let's just take a breath. Most on here said they would be happy to finish one place above the relegation zone. ....and we are achieving that so far 8)

Re: BFTG - Plymouth Home

"That was a comfortable win and the difference between the two sides was summed up by the opposition's comments on the gulf in class. That, and the prospect of being involved in one of the most exciting Championship seasons ever, makes me feel very pleased to be a Reading fan at the moment.&quo...

Re: Where will you finish?

Chill.Nothing wrong with optimism. I'd certainly take 6 points from the next 4 games if offered right now. I think it's been said enough that it will be how we react to going behind or/and inevitable defeat at some stage. For now let people enjoy the moments and the fact that we have at least what s...

Remind we where Brighton finished in 2014/15 before mounting a big push for last season?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (h) sponsored by 3-0 down, 4-3 up

Sounds like the JS possession football is bearing fruit.....still think we will need to show patience over the next few league games.
The table only really makes any sense after around 10 games.....
Great momentum building.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by opening game optimism

Forgive my terrible English but I did mean to say that " it will be how the manager and his group of players react to the inevitable reversals over the next few weeks and months that will be the test"

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by opening game optimism

It's a great feeling at the weekend after what sounds like a good win and not without a little panache. Hopefully we ( including the board) will all keep our feet on the ground and adhere to the Jaap Stam philosophy of steady progression. We will surely see some reversals with a tough looking fixtur...

Re: FAO Adkinsistas

I know of many people that watch every game and have completely different views at the end of them. I guess you see what you want to see.....my mind drifts back to Reading v Scunthorpe when Rodgers was in charge . My privileged seats for this game had me directly opposite 2 Swansea representatives w...

3points
Nuremberg Royal Interesting comparisons made and certainly thought provoking .....
On a lighter note I wonder if losing Alf has had the same impact as losing Luis Suarez

Re: Norwich (A) match thread

Super result under any circumstances.....though it's really put a spanner in the hordes demanding the managers head on a stick.
So pleased for Jake Cooper especially.
Young team findings it way will often be inconsistent so fully expect Birmingham to help out the negative posters again.

Re: ADKINS REPLACEMENT

I would hope that in this world of instant gratification we can somehow focus on the slightly longer term i.e. 2015/6. Am I right in thinking that most people would have settled for a consolidated place in the championship having blooded some of the youngsters. Granted we are looking over our should...

Re: Poll - Adkins In or Out

Think back to McDermott and Coppell - they had to sell their best players every season and were left with a small proportion of the money and talent Adkins has at his disposal, yet they never complained and got on with it in a no nonsense fashion. Even when Brian was sacked we were still in with a ...

Re: Team for Blackburn

Feds Gunter Hector Pearce Obita Norwood Akpan Mackie Cox Blackman Murray For all his faults Blackman actually does offer something unlike the always ineffective HRK. Maybe HRK would provide more of a threat coming on as a sub. If Ferdinand is fit enough start him over Pearce. Hector needs an experi...
